FPS and stuttering issues

Since the latest update, my frame rate has dropped to around 50–70 FPS, whereas I was getting 150 before; does anyone know what might be causing this? My PC handles Rust on max settings without any issues. CS2 is stuttering for me too, even at 400 fps, and it's the same with LoL at 200 fps.

Forza horizon 6 settings help

Hi

I’m fairly new to pc gaming, well I say new I got my pc early 2025 but only used it for flight simulator.
I’m starting to play more games on it and just started playing horizon 6.
I’ve checked out settings videos and stuff on here. It seems to run well, I’ve got a mix of high/ultra settings.

There is one setting I’m confused about and that’s the FPS setting in horizon 6, currently it’s on 60fps.

Should I match this to what my tv/monitor is capable of?
It’s an lg g6 oled (2026)

In windows it’s also set to 120hz in display settings.

But if a dumb question maybe! But some of this stuff confuses me!

Thank you

4070ti super, 7800X3D, 64gb.

Performance issues on 5070

Has anyone encountered any sort of issues with their 50xx cards in FH6? I did check some benchmarking videos in youtube for 5070 and in all of them the game has more than 60 fps at 1080p with extreme settings and RTGI high (with DLAA), but in my case the frames always drop into 40s when driving in Tokyo city. Does anyone with 5070 have this issue? I did some benchmarks on my gpu with 3DMark and it seems like its fine, i think the problem is elsewhere. My GPU drivers are up to date.

can i run elden ring or forza 6?

hi

I just bought my first PC, a mini pc, and I'm wondering what you think I'll realistically be able to achieve with it.

-Ryzen 5 Pro 3400GE

-Vega 11 2 GB VRAM

-16 GB DDR4 2666 on dual-channel

-256 GB NVMe SSD

do you think I could get a decent experience in elden ring and Forza Horizon 6?

I'm completely fine with tweaking settings, resolutions, using lossless or fsr, capping FPS with rivatuner, installing mods,

pretty much any optimization that makes the experience better.

I'm not expecting ultra settings or locked 60 FPS, i just want playable game.

thanks in advance!

sorry if wrong flair or if not allowed post.

I will likely game at 60HZ for the rest of my life

I have been gaming on PC since age 6, helping a friend and his brother in Tibia as a rune slave. I actually did follow trends and upgraded monitors for newer refresh rates, I remember going from 75 to 99 to 120 and then 144. I also remember that 165Hz was on the horizon and that is when I decided to take a step back.

Back then I was into World of Tanks and I had the best stuff you could get at the time. GTX 780 Ti, i7 CPU, etc. I am someone who can upgrade with each new generation if I wanted.

Then came ultrawides. 2560 x 1080p and 3440 x 1440p monitors. I recall looking at the frame rate all the time and trying to figure out how to keep up with a consistent 120 hz. It just seemed unfeasible. This was quite a time before DLSS and FSR mind you.

I did some thinking, and I made a baseline of what I would rather have and what I can live without.

It was something like

- Maxed Graphics
- Low heat
- High Stability
- "Set it and forget it"

I was into overclocking and everything to achieve performance. By this time I had been tinkering with the innards of a PC for quite some time. I wanted to actually stop doing this because I play full loot upon death games. I overclock my RAM to get it up to speed and thats about it.

So I factor'd in everything and the only option I had to achieve everything I wanted out of gaming would be to just use <100 Hz. I was going to 75 but the game I played at the time for much of my time only let me set 60, or 120. So I went with 60 cause I figured it'd be set-it-and-forget it more commonly.

This was like 10 years ago. Today I am still gaming @ 60 Hz, even though I've moved on to higher performing OLED and Mini-LED monitors. I still use 60 Hz.

Did I feel any difference? yeah I did. There is a noticeable difference from 60 hz and upwards, even at 75 Hz there is a noticeable smoothness. I recall noticing that I can actually see the flight path of the projectiles in WoT.

Did I care about the difference? Nope. It was like witnessing a party trick really. Its cool but I wanted something else out of the experience so stepping down to 60 Hz didn't bother me. I knew I was going to get a LOT MORE TIME out of my parts though. It was also cool, the feeling of not needing to feel the want to overclock and other stuff.

Do I ever feel tempted to switch back? Nope. I don't.

I'm not really out here gaming to get into celebrity status, I am gaming cause I really enjoy the interface. I play competitive oriented games like Chiv 2, Battlefield, CS2, and stuff and I still get to top of leadership boards at end of match even though im sure im probably the only person running 60Hz. I find that latency influences my game play more than refresh rate.

So yeah thats my story. I chose 60hz because its a performance driven fantasy. I dont have to use any of that upscaling stuff and I rarely come across BSODs anymore. Its just pure gaming bliss.

I tested Windows 11 LTSC vs Home for competitive gaming so you don’t have to. Here’s what actually happened

This question comes up constantly and I finally put it to a proper test. 10 benchmark runs on both, same hardware, same settings, real ranked play. The results were honestly not what I expected going in.

There are some real differences between the two worth knowing about before you make the switch or decide to stay where you are. What OS are you currently running and have you ever noticed a difference in game?

Horrible performance and stuttering

I’m on the legion go s steam os z2go

I’ve been having issues with doom in particular other games don’t do that. I have it at custom mode of 18w with a 60fps frame limit. Every time it dips below its gets super horrible and stutter.

Any help?

Help needed for recommended graphic settings In Spacemarine 2

Hello Hello, Ever since I got The game Warhammer 40K Spacemarine 2 I've been playing it quite a lot in my MSI Gaming laptop, but I've been having constant backlash from other players as well (this happens with games like tarkov too). The issue I've been having is load time, it takes too long to load into a match but the gameplay is smooth.

All of my settings are to the lowest as well, not too much to not make the game look ugly either and I have the game installed in an external HDD drive that I connect, what could be the issue?

The MSI laptop I have has a 3050 GeForce and 16 of RAM

The Last of Us Part I (PC) - GTX 1070 + i7-6700K optimization help

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to optimize The Last of Us Part I on my PC and I'd really appreciate some advice from people with experience tuning this game, especially on Pascal GPUs.

My system

  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB
  • CPU: Intel i7-6700K @ 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR4
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro
  • Driver: 582.28
  • Resolution: 1920x1080
  • Monitor: Dell U2414H (60 Hz, no G-SYNC / FreeSync)

Current NVIDIA Control Panel settings

  • Power Management: Prefer Maximum Performance
  • Low Latency Mode: ON
  • Texture Filtering Quality: Quality
  • Vertical Sync: ON
  • Triple Buffering: OFF
  • Max Frame Rate: OFF
  • Image Scaling: OFF

In-game VSync is OFF.

Graphics settings

I spent quite a bit of time tweaking the graphics settings instead of simply using the High preset.

Main changes include:

  • High textures
  • Reduced shadow quality
  • Medium lighting
  • Medium volumetrics
  • High SSR
  • Medium Screen Space Shadows
  • High LOD
  • High texture filtering

The goal was to maximize image quality while keeping good frame pacing.

Benchmark results

Built-in benchmark

Average FPS: 40.7

Minimum: 31.2

1% Low: 26.8

0.1% Low: 17.1

After tweaking settings

Average FPS: 42.8

Minimum: 29.6

1% Low: 21.5

0.1% Low: 16.9

Average FPS improved, but 1% lows became noticeably worse.

Real gameplay benchmark (heavy rain area)

10-minute gameplay session.

Average FPS: 37.8

Minimum: 17.8

Maximum: 57.9

1% Low: 20.6

0.1% Low: 7.4

This area includes heavy rain, wet surfaces, reflections, dynamic lighting and a lot of asset streaming.

What I've observed

  • GPU usage stays close to 99% most of the time.
  • CPU doesn't appear fully saturated.
  • VRAM usage stays below the 8 GB limit.
  • Using NVIDIA Control Panel VSync feels smoother and produces less tearing than the game's own VSync on my system.
  • Lowering SSR settings didn't noticeably improve performance but did reduce visual quality, so I restored them.
  • Shadow quality seems to have the biggest performance impact.

My questions

  1. Does anyone with a GTX 1070 (or similar Pascal GPU) have settings that consistently outperform these results?
  2. Are there any "hidden" settings that have a large FPS impact but minimal visual impact?
  3. Have you found any NVIDIA Control Panel settings that improve frame pacing specifically for this game?
  4. Is the poor 1% low performance mostly caused by the game engine and asset streaming, or do you think there are still settings worth adjusting?
  5. Would you recommend targeting a stable 40–45 FPS with higher image quality instead of trying to reach 60 FPS on this hardware?

I'm happy to share my full graphics-settings.txt and MSI Afterburner hardware logs if that helps.

Thanks in advance!

Optimize Settings for Crimson Desert

My settings are in such a way that my frames generated float around 70 but with the price of ghosting(?) sometimes heavily. Ive watched some optimizing videos and am fairly comfortable with what I have to work with but am hoping to get the game to really shine.

Ryzen 7 5700x 8gb

RTX 3060

My drivers are up to date!
