SignalRGB causing system-wide stutter/mouse lag on fresh Windows 11 (no other RGB app installed)

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has dealt with this specific conflict. I’ve just built a new PC and I'm experiencing severe system-wide stuttering and mouse lag that is directly tied to SignalRGB.

The Issue: After SignalRGB has been running for a while, my entire system becomes unresponsive, specifically with mouse input lag. The moment I "End Task" on SignalRGB.exe in Task Manager, the system returns to normal instantly.

My Setup:

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M AORUS ELITE
  • RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB
  • GPU: Intel Arc B580
  • OS: Fresh Windows 11 install (not activated yet)

Troubleshooting steps I’ve already taken:

  • Completely uninstalled Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) and removed all associated background services/drivers.
  • Switched the SignalRGB renderer from QtWebEngine to Ultralight.
  • Disabled GPU lighting control (since the B580 isn't officially supported anyway).
  • Confirmed no other RGB software (iCUE, etc.) is installed or running.
  • Checked Task Manager for conflicts—only "Gigabyte Update Service" was visible and it has been disabled.

Has anyone else had a similar experience to this? Are there specific settings in SignalRGB (or BIOS settings like "SPD Write") that I should be double-checking to prevent this interrupt storm?
Only thing I notice is the prompt message of "Windows Is not Activated yet"

Any advice would be appreciated!

Completed Build but hear a random noise.

Hi all, first post but not first build.

I’ve recently finished a new build and am experiencing an intermittent noise coming from my top-mounted AIO radiator (I think). The sound occurs periodically (roughly every 5 minutes), lasts for a short duration, and sounds very similar to an old mechanical hard drive "chattering" or "ticking." I have no mechanical HDDs installed. g.

System Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K
Cooler: DeepCool LM360 AIO (right side top-mounted)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M AORUS ELITE
GPU: Intel Arc B580
Storage: All NVMe SSDs

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Ran radiator fans at 100% fixed speed—noise persists independently of fan speed.
Verified the radiator is the highest point in the loop.
Set AIO pump to a constant 100% speed in BIOS.
Could this be trapped air working its way into the radiator, or is it likely something else, like pump impeller resonance or case vibration? Appreciate any insights!

I cannot seem to attach an audio file so just did video of it occurring

Help fixing ripped SMT pads on audio jack. Where do I start?

Hi everyone,
The 3.5mm audio jack on my Orico 8-in-1 USB-C adapter broke off and completely ripped the surface-mount (SMT) pads off the PCB, leaving bare fiberglass behind. The jack is intact, but its legs have old pad residue on them.
What is the correct step-by-step sequence to fix this from scratch?

Tools on hand:
Microscope
FNIRSI HS-02A Soldering Iron (with 67W GaN wall adapter and ultra-flexible silicone USB-C cable)
Tacky solder flux gel and 0.3mm fine leaded solder wire
2UUL 0.02mm enameled jumper wire
UV-curable solder mask resin & UV flashlight kit
Precision hobby knife / blade
Superglue / 2-part epoxy
Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) & Q-tips

Thanks!

Open Banking provider for indie budgeting app?

Hey all, Newbie here

I’ve built a personal budgeting web app (~80% complete), and I’m now looking for a way to securely connect Australian bank accounts so transactions can auto-sync into my app.

Ideal setup:

  • My web app is the only UI (I don’t want to use the provider’s consumer app)
  • Provider handles Open Banking / CDR consent and bank connections
  • I integrate via REST APIs / webhooks on the backend
  • Low-cost or free is preferred

I’ve looked at Frollo, but from the outside, it seems geared more to B2B and their own consumer app, not individual developers. I've also developed a workaround and use uBank as a provider to export / import all transactions across multiple accounts however, this is manual and tedious.

Has anyone here:

  • Integrated Frollo (or similar) into their own app as an independent dev?
  • Found an Open Banking/aggregation provider in Australia that’s realistic for solo or small devs?

Any concrete provider names, experience, or “don’t bother, try X instead” advice would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!
