S6 Edge and S8 screen and battery replacements

I would really like to get these two old phones of mine back up and running again.

Both screens were broken while I actively used them and the batteries swelled enough to pop the back plates off just recently. A local repair shop wanted hundreds of dollars to fix them.

Are these repairs doable by someone with no experience? What’s the best way to repair these and diagnose any other potential issues they may have?
