When Philon puts on weight he gonna be crazy

Philon is currently 6’2.5(barefoot) with an 6’6.5 wingspan and a 8’3.5 standing reach (impressive for his height) but the biggest problem is he is 176 he needs to get to like 190-200 at some point(if he does this he is gonna be way more athletic and strong)

People say he is a average athlete but he is a good athlete super quick, very good first step, crazy body control ,good vertical(he may not dunk a lot but watch he gets very high on some of his shots)

He took a huge jump from his freshman year to sophomore year he went from very good defender to an elite offensive engine.

In my opinion Labaron Philon has the most upside out of every guard not called Darryn Peterson and you can argue Acuff and Mikel to me he has the 1-3 most offensive potential after Acuff/Mikel and has the 2nd/3rd most defensive potential after Flemings and Burries

Freshman year
10.6 PPG
3.3 RPG
3.8 APG
1.4 SPG
0.3 BPG
45.2 FG%
31.5 3PT%
76.7 FT%
24.7 MPG
37 games played
29 starts

Sophomore year
22.0 PPG
3.5 RPG
5.0 APG
1.2 SPG
0.2 BPG
50.1 FG%
39.9 3PT%
79.8 FT%
30.9 MPG
33 games played
32 starts

If he can truly lock in he can be a 2 way star he has elite offensive potential I could see him giving you 1.6-1.9 steals and 0.3-0.6 blocks if he is truly locked in on the defensive end

Cameron Boozer has insane upside

Cameron Boozer Has Insane Upside

My player comparisons for Cameron Boozer:

- Chris Webber/Jokic hybrid (elite finishing, high IQ, high-level passer, high-level rebounder, good shooter, and can create his own shot. Unlike Webber, he projects as more of an average defender.)
- Unathletic Giannis/Kevin Love hybrid (the finishing, footwork, strength, passing, IQ, and rebounding of Giannis mixed with the shooting ability of later-career Kevin Love.)

Cameron Boozer’s strengths: super strong, elite finisher, super high IQ, high-level passer, elite rebounder, and a very good shooter.

Cameron Boozer’s weaknesses: athleticism (doesn’t have elite explosiveness), ball handling (some people view him as a 3 because he has guard skills, but his handle can still improve), and defense. Can he consistently defend on the perimeter? If you put him at the rim, does he have the vertical athleticism to consistently contest shots and protect the paint?

In his freshman season at Duke, Cameron Boozer averaged:
- 22.5 PPG
- 10.2 RPG
- 4.1 APG
- 1.4 SPG
- 55.6 FG%
- 39.1 3PT%
- 78.9 FT%

My overall view on Cameron Boozer is that he has elite offensive upside. If I’m right, he is one of the youngest players in the draft, which makes his potential even more impressive. He is already good at almost everything offensively besides defense. I see him as a long-term 3/4 (small forward/power forward) in the NBA.

I think he can still become much more athletic and possibly even grow more because he is still super young. I also say this because players like Dylan Harper and Collin Murray-Boyles were viewed as only decent athletes earlier in their development, and now they look much more explosive physically(they have become crazy athletes=watch the clips). Cameron Boozer is younger than both of them, so there is still a lot of room for physical growth and development.

If Cam becomes a good defender, his ceiling is sky high. In college, Duke used him a lot as a post creator, but I want to see him show more of that midrange game because almost all elite offensive stars today have an elite middy, like SGA and Jokic. I also want to see him create his own shot more consistently. There were flashes of step-backs and fadeaways, and hopefully he develops a signature move over time.

Floor: Very good starter
Ceiling: All-NBA Second Team to MVP-level player (high-end outcome)

CMB averaged more against the Cavs then Duren

CMB averaged more against the Cavs then Duren

CMB is younger, played less minutes, played the wrong positions he is actually a 3/4, and also had 2 injuries being a thumb and shoulder injury and Duren was a all star plus more stocks and better fg(he has Cade as his pg)

Jalen Duren is 6’10 250(listed probably 280) is averaging 9.5 vs the Cavs and was a all star I know he is young but bro I was atleast expecting 15 pts and or atleast 10+ rebounds a game.

For me I see CMB as a 6’8 Chris Webber/Draymond hybrid he has insane upside I could see him getting in the 2 steals and 2 blocks club in his prime.

Morez is locked to be a lottery pick?

39 inch vertical I have a feeling his standing reach is actually like 9’1-9’2 just a assumption but also he is very quick and has tons of upside this dude definitely should go lottery

Chris Cenac Jr may have a insane stock rise

He is 6’10 barefoot with a 7’5.5 wingspan and “9’0.5” standing reaches it’s probably like 9’3-9’5 but according to this instagram post he has a 41 inch standing vertical even minus 2.5-4.5 inches that’s still a 38.5-36.5 standing vertical with a running start that’s a 40+ inch with a elite standing reach

The case for Philon at 5

The case for Labaron Philon at 5

The Clippers should draft Labaron Philon at No. 5 because he has elite upside and fits perfectly with today’s NBA. His game feels like a mix of Dejounte Murray and Tyrese Maxey — a fast, shifty guard who can score, defend, create for others, and control the pace of a game.

Philon arguably has more long-term upside than Darius Acuff Jr., Mikel Brown Jr., Kingston Flemings, Brayden Burries, and Keaton Wagler because of his two-way impact, feel for the game, and ability to affect winning on both ends.

One of Philon’s biggest strengths is how complete his game already looks for his age. He plays with great pace, has advanced shot creation, high-level passing vision, strong defensive instincts, and consistently pressures the rim. He also competes hard defensively and has the quickness and length to guard multiple perimeter positions. His ability to control tempo and make smart reads gives him real lead guard potential.

Physically, Philon has a lot of room to keep developing. He measured at 6’2.5 barefoot with a 6’6.25 wingspan, an 8’3.5 standing reach, and weighs 176 pounds. He still has plenty of room to grow and add strength to his frame, which could make him even more dangerous as a downhill scorer and defender over time.

His biggest weaknesses right now are consistency as a shooter and adding strength. He can sometimes struggle finishing through bigger defenders and his jumper still needs to become more reliable off the dribble. But if those areas improve, his ceiling becomes extremely high because of the two-way impact, athletic tools, and feel for the game he already has.

If Philon reaches his ceiling, his prime could look something like:

27-24PPG
8-6.5APG
6-4.5RPG
2.11.5SPG
0.7-0.4BPG
49/40/87 splits

Why Philon should go as high as 5 and no lower than 10

Labaron Philon has a legitimate argument to be drafted as high as No. 5 because his overall ceiling may be higher than several highly ranked guards and perimeter creators in his class. When comparing long-term upside to players like Darius Acuff Jr., Keaton Wagler, Mikel Brown Jr., Brayden Burries, and Kingston Fleming, Philon stands out because of his combination of lead-guard creation, defensive instincts, pace control, and two-way versatility.

His playstyle resembles a hybrid of Dejounte Murray and Tyrese Maxey. He has Dejounte’s length, poise, defensive disruption, and ability to operate in the midrange, mixed with Maxey’s burst, downhill pressure, shot creation, and scoring aggression. That blend gives him the potential to become a true offensive engine instead of just a scoring guard.

One reason Philon’s upside is so intriguing is his feel for the game. He changes speeds well, makes advanced reads in pick-and-roll situations, and plays with a calm tempo that many young guards struggle to develop. He can create advantages without needing to dominate the ball every possession. His ability to collapse defenses, attack gaps, and make quick decisions gives him real primary initiator upside.

Defensively, Philon also separates himself from many offense-first guards. He has active hands, strong anticipation, quick lateral movement, and the competitiveness to pressure opposing ball handlers. Because of his instincts and motor, he projects as a guard who can positively impact both ends of the floor instead of needing to be hidden defensively.

If his jumper becomes more consistent and he continues adding strength, Philon has the tools to develop into an All-Star level two-way lead guard who can run an offense, score at all three levels, and defend at a high level — which is why his ceiling could justify top-5 consideration.

A lot of people say his defense is bad but his offensive load was huge almost everybody on this list had another good offensive player.

His performance versus Michigan just shows the insane upside he dropped 35 on them and gave Yaxel,Morez,Aday hell while getting doubled not only that Yaxel said he was one of the hardest players he had ever guarded.

Play style comparison for the 2025 draft class/Current rookies

This is my player comparison for everyone in the 2025 draft class I don’t wanna hear anything about this is there potential no this is not there potential but there play style comparison

Cooper Flagg-Jayson Tatum/Kawhi Leonard hybrid
-Cooper Flagg has so much he has done and so much he hasn’t been able to show yet his defensive potential is elite he wasn’t amazing on that end this year due to his offensive responsibilities. His iq is super high he is super athletic and the finishing has elite potential the shot is coming and his shot creation could be insane at some point after the way he looked in his rookie year and the handle looks solid not to mention he is more of a 3 and was playing the PG at 19 the sky’s the limit for him.

Dylan Harper-James Harden/Cade
Cunningham(more athletic version)
-He is super quick with really good bounce super shifty with elite finishing upside, a good defender who is also developing his shot the creation seems it can be at a very high level at some point the passing is also super good.

VJ Edgecombe-Dwayne Wade/Jimmy Butler/Victor Oladipo/Anthony Edward’s
-Super athlete 2 guard who can defend at a high level and finish at a high level with an elite motor who is developing his shot.

Kon Knueppel-Klay Thompson/Mavs Steve Nash
-The shot is pure he is not the defender Klay was but I see more shot creation and passing potential he has super iq too which is why I see Mavs Steve Nash.

Ace Bailey-Brandon Ingram/Paul George/Micheal Porter Jr
-Tall super athletic wing(2/3) who has high defensive potential can get to the rack and has tons of shooting potential.

Jeremiah Fears-Jeff Teague/Kyrie hybrid(not the same shooting)
-He is super quick like Jeff Teague and the handle and the way he attacks the rim kinda reminds me of Kyrie not a high level shooter all though but it is a development.

Collin Murray Boyles-Chris Webber/Draymond hybrid
-Super athletic he is super strong, elite lateral quickness and is super bounce can guard 1-5 really good rebounder has elite shot blocking potential his finishing has elite potential too but he’ll need to work on his shooting and ball handling because he was being used as a pick n roll, roller and play finisher he has high iq and passing but he’ll need to be more comfortable with the ball.

Derik Queen-Domantas Sabonis
-Bigs who has good iq isn’t a good defender or the most athletic neither really protects the rim but he is very crafty the shot looks decent the passing looks good tons of upside.

Egor Demin-Shooting version of Josh Giddey
-His shooting has been super good not really close to Josh Giddey in the passing and rebounding but they are both big guards who can pass but he shoots a lot more and has a lot of upside there(Not the best comp I don’t really know what the best comp is)

Give me some better comps if you disagree

Ace Bailey athleticism is elite I think he has some insane defensive potential if he ever locks in on that end the he all the length(pause) and athleticism needed also he has the finishing, tough shot making to be a elite nba player just depends if he puts it all together hopefully the Jazz develops him to what he can become if so it’ll be super scary for the league.
