CP3 Jerseys are super cheap on the team shop
Authentic for ~$50. Saw a swing man City Edition Kawhi for 60 as well. Worth a look!

Real draft hoopheads (not just those who started following this year after the Pacers trade) know James Barlow. Disasterous move to go independent this year that basically tanked his visibility lol, but dude's NBA knowledge is great. Wouldn't be counting out Mikel Brown as our eventual guy on draft night.

Has this been a debate or consideration for Clippers fans? Please fill me in as I may have missed it.
The Rwandan government is responsible for incredible repression internally killing off nearly all critical voices of the current president. In the neighboring DR Congo, the Rwandan army is directly responsible for killing and displacing hundreds of thousands in massive military offensive campaigns. They have have blatantly lied to the face of both Republican and Democrat administrations in Washington over several decades.
How do you feel about this blood-soaked sponsorship deal after two major European soccer clubs have all already reneged over the past year on "Visit Rwanda" uniform insignias?

let’s all put our energy together and manifest an Ace Bailey style situation where Peterson falls to five!
I utilized my power of foresight to predict that the draft will go as such:
AJ
Boozer
Acuff
Wilson
Peterson
welcome to LA DP and big shout out to Mike muscala and big zu 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Like are we trying to argue this years 6th seeded wolves team without Anthony Edwards is better than that 60 win spurs team without Kawhi???
Whats wild to me that is harden at 37 is still getting more heat than Jokic who many in the media has as their mvp this year. And Jokic will be right back in mvp convos next year like nothing happened
Am I tripping or wrong for having this opinion?
Is that the likelihood that it comes back to haunt the Clippers is low. Even if Acuff becomes his best self, it's the Kings! They aren't going to build a good team around him. Plus there's also the chance that he doesn't become his best self because he's thrust into a lead role right away and never has an incentive to improve on defense.
Then the Clippers can get Brown who I think has a higher ceiling than Acuff, but if his back is bad or he just doesn't work out, at least you got some assets.
(Sorry Kings fans, I do hope Vivek sells some day or learns to let basketball people do basketball things, but sometime after you give the Clippers some assets for Acuff. And I don't root for any young player to not reach their potential...except for Luka and that's only because he's now on the Lakers and Lakers hate trumps morals.)
Darryn Peterson ended up just barely below Caleb Wilson
This could very well be dumb for probably a ton of reasons I'm not thinking of, but it also could be a wild strategy that pays off big time:
So, first off, how much does everyone think one draft pick's up is worth (i assume it depends on sections of the draft, like 5 to 4 probably costs more than 6 to 5 for example)?
Let's be conservative for a sec tho and for simplicity's sake, say its one to two future 2nd round pick(s).
So what if after the top 4 are selected (if acuff goes top 4, i guess you probably don't do this), we draft who the Nets (tell us they want, the Clippers sell this trade idea as it costs the Nets a 2nd(s) to guarantee they get their guy, or risk we take him), get the Nets 6th pick plus a 2nd(s), then do the same with the Kings etc until we get to a team that wants to draft the guy we want (yes we double cross that one team by basically taking that guy instead of doing the deal).
I mean, maybe this stops before it starts right at the nets if the Clippers are very adamant about a particular guy, but more so works if they are open to a couple guys, like what if we came up on like 4+ future 2nds, got one of wagler/MBJ (if they are fine with that) at 7, then packaged all those 2nds plus whatever else for as low a pick as possible (similar strategy in seeing who what teams want) to get Mara (i assume before OKC, they may not accept anything)?
I feel like this would be the ultimate come up in this year's draft vs the #1/#2 pick you prob can't get anyway.
I think Mara could potentially end up being one of, if not the most important guys, if you want a chance at contending with the Spurs once their rookie contracts are up.
Watching harden on the cavs, he looks slower, careless, old
But was he this bad on the clippers? I thought he looked much better while Leonard was out, I figured being on the Cavs he’d play better.
I don’t think anything more needs to be said. We got rid of him for a reason.

Where are the small guard haters? tonight?
Draft the best player available.
So scouting reports and highlight reels are great, but I'm a big believer in watching full game tape. You just see things you don't pick up in more condensed formats.
I've been concerned about Keaton Wagler's defense with his slight frame, so I wanted to take a close look at how he help up against an NBA-caliber squad in Michigan. I pulled up the full game on Grinding Tape and left notes on every possession I thought was telling.
The video above summarizes what I found. Long story short: it's pretty brutal. Wagler has poor footwork and anticipation on defense, and isn't giving great effort. But the biggest issue, IMO, is his frame: he's just getting ragdolled time and time again because he doesn't have the lower body or core strength to hold his position.
A few specific plays to highlight:
Wagler is a tremendously gifted offensive player, even with his athletic limitations. He is going to add value on that side of the floor. But I'm concerned that he is going to be effectively unplayable in Year 1, and maybe beyond, with this kind of defensive performance. He is going to get targeted ruthlessly because even small guards are going right through him.
I'm very curious what the community thinks about this. You can also leave notes on any game on Grinding Tape if you want to share your scouting publicly.
Dream semi realistic scenario that I wanted to hear opinions from all the handsome folks in the clippers subreddit that love posts like these
- trade back to kings for their pick + Keegan Murray then draft whoever is available (ideally Wagler imo)
- trade Kawhi and Beal to Miami for Ware and filler + their pick (draft Morez)
- extend Mathurin as cheap as possible
- pick up a free agent young guy to take a flyer on like Dalen Terry
- steal with the remaining money a buy low RFA such as Coby white, Ayo, or Eason (not necessary but why not try during rebuild)
- trade DJJ for a FRP while he’s still worth one
We’d go from an absolute unction with the oldest team in the league to one of the youngest in one year along with a couple of good future picks:
Team would look something like this:
Garland Mathurin Murray Morez Ware
Bench: White Wagler Dunn Sanders Yanic
Deep bench: Miller, Terry, Christie, Jackson, 2nd Rounder
Average age here would be like 24 lol. Please tell me honest thoughts. I know some of these are hopeful like us trading back and getting Murray but not impossible. Lmk!
OKC only played Hart against Wemby for the first 2 minutes of the game. After that they realized hart was unplayable against Wemby and they didn’t put him in at the same time as Wemby for the rest of the game. If you can’t shoot 3s as a big then Wemby will shut you down. So it looks like we traded Zubac at the perfect time and got the most possible out of him. I bet with the Pacers seeing how Wemby destroys non shooting bigs they might regret traded for Zu. This isn’t being negative against Zu I love him but it’s just what Wemby does to any non-shooting big.
We’ve seen that the players who have the best chance at guarding Wemby are strong and mobile players. Wemby goes right through tall and weak players and immobile players. To gaurd Wemby you need to be strong and quick on your feet. This makes me even more bullish on Yanic, he has the mobility and strength to guard Wemby and he’s a 7 footer, he’s as good a Wemby stopper as any. On top of that Yanic made some 3s this past season so if he continues to work on that he’s literally the perfect type of center to go against Wemby.
Played a pick up game earlier tonight with a 6’6 dude who got stuffed by the rim in warm up dunk attempts multiple times (he’s prob 21 yo and in good shape/ started div 2 ball) and now I’m wondering if there is is a vid (searched but couldn’t find) of Wagler dunking emphatically in a game outside of official Illinois games? If not, Acuff is the best option. I easily found a vid of an Acuff drive and dunk in a college game. My opinion, the ability to drive, lift off, and slam it home is a prerequisite for nba stardom. Anything below that is not a top 5 lottery pick. Go Acuff, the grown man pick.
