We should bring back Kobe brown. He played great for Pacers after we traded him and he’s UFA now

Kobe played great for the Pacers after we traded him and and we need some more power forward depth. So I think we should try and get Kobe brown back since he’s an unrestricted free agent right now. We never gave him a lot of run while he was on our team then when he goes to a new team and gets more run he shows how good he is. We’re a younger retooling team now and not a veteran heavy team like before so this so this is the perfect type of team for Kobe to be own to showcase his talents. I’ve been a believer in Kobe brown for a long time and I think this could be a great move.

Those 2031 & 2033 Raptors picks should eventually be used as trade assets

Look, I know I could be overthinking but im here to make a dumb theory because obviously its the off season & there's no basketball (Yes there's summer league but common).

Obviously, in hindsight those 2031 & 2033 will hold high value and I hope they do convert into top picks. But right before the 2031 pick SGA is a free agent. People are thinking why would Toronto overpay for Kawhi now. Because that 2 year extension also ends the year SGA becomes a free agent. Everyone talks about why would SGA ever leave OKC. Whenever Toronto is brought up, SGA is always excited and smirking (Yea obviously cause its his city), but this one of the most nonchalant dudes in the NBA. This guy's always dapping up Drake & the other day he was watching the world cup with Drake in Toronto!!!

Call this the worse theory, but I still have nightmares of the SGA trade & him winning a championship. Last thing I need is this guy haunting us again & ruining our future assets!!!

anyone watching acuff rn?

following the tradition of egregiously overreacting to summer league debuts, it looks like we made the right choice 😬

There’s a theory that we’re waiting for Kawhi trade to be official (July 6) before we make moves. But… why? How is this blocking us?

can someone explain why we’re waiting till July 6 to announce the trade and how is that holding us back from making moves?

[Charania] Just in: Minnesota is sending Julius Randle and the No. 28 pick in the NBA Draft to the Brooklyn Nets in a three-team trade that sends Nic Claxton to the Chicago Bulls, sources tell ESPN. The Timberwolves will acquire Brooklyn’s No. 33 pick for Randle and No. 28.

NBA Summer League

Our first Summer League game is against Sacramento. Wagler vs. Acuff right away. I know it’s only Summer League and one game, but I would love Wagler to show out and prove the haters wrong.

If the Nuggets are desperate to clear up cap space to re sign Peyton Watson, is there a we can extract Cam Johnson or Christian Braun + Draft Compensation from them ?

My idea was we make an offer to sign Watson to a massive offer sheet that Denver financially cannot match without shedding salary. And then Denver desperate to keep him pays us to take Christian Braun negative-value contract (5 years, $125M) or CJ off their books.

Any updates on Trey Murphy or Cam Johnson or Goga Bitadze situations?

We need two out of the 3 if we really wanna be competitive this year.

Clippers training team and coaches are the best!

I am so locked in and excited for our next season. I don't know if any of our new guys will be great out of the gate. So, I am hoping we break .500 but winning 35 games will be okay with me. Hell, it took Giannis 5 years to become Giannis.

After doing some light research, it seems that in the past 5 years the Clippers training camp has shown to be the best at increasing our players 3 point percentages.

For all the talent that our guys have, it needs our training camp to ensure they develop into the nba efficiently.

Ty lue may not be the best coach ever but he has shown to improve every player that has touched our team.

I am trying to start off as positive as possible.

Are we signing anyone what's holding us up?

Rui Hachimura, Kuminga are still available right. I'm not sure if we're low ballin Mathurin and he will not sign.

Just wondering

History Lesson: Elton Brand/Lamar Odom

Let’s go back to the summer of 2003. The young Clippers were a team on the rise, with a pair of stud forwards in Elton Brand and Lamar Odom, both of whom were RFAs that summer. The question on everyone’s minds: Would Donald Sterling finally pay up?

Enter the Miami Heat. Pat Riley seemed to really want Brand, signing him to a max deal. The Clippers were on the clock.

The Clippers gave up a lot to get Brand and didn’t want him to get away for nothing. The new CBA had a minimum salary requirement, which meant Sterling had to spend some money. Would he actually give a player a max contract, much less two players? He had already promised to take care of Odom.

Ultimately, Sterling agreed to match Miami’s offer. This was an unprecedented move for the Clippers under his ownership. All that was left was signing Odom. Odom was Sterling’s favorite and some thought Odom might be willing to take a team-friendly deal.

Instead, the Heat signed him to the exact same max deal they offered Brand. And Sterling didn’t match. According to some, Odom begged the Clippers not to match, either because he felt slighted or didn’t want to continue playing for the organization. Others suggested he was Riley’s target all along.

Which is why I bring this up. I expect the Clippers to make a run at Watson. I think they’ll sign him to a big deal and put the pressure on the Nuggets to match. If they don’t, it’s a big win for the Clippers. If they do match, they’ll be forced to get rid of Cam Johnson.

And who would be first in line to acquire Johnson, perhaps with a trade exception they just picked up from Detroit?
