Hey Fam. Just wondering if you think it’s normal for pins to be this small after 4-5 days? This is some of the slowest colonizing/growing mycelium I’ve ever had. Took over a month to colonize grain jars from liquid culture. Everything smells mushroomy and good, just getting so impatient with these slow growing shits.
Hi there, pretty much an intermediate grower, been growing for a few years with lots of success but for the last 8 months I have failed over and over and over again. Now I’m on to the latest grow that is looking like another failure and I’m honestly just looking for some encouragement because I’m about ready to just give up. I am crushed. I’ve spent a lot of money on genetics and materials for absolutely nothing. The worst part is I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong anymore, my process has remained the same since I started having success. PC rehydrated popcorn for 1 1/2 hours, inoculate in clean SAB in a clean environment with no airflow, waiting for full colonization, no bad smells ect. I’m at a loss. The only conclusion I can come to is that the spore seller I have tried recently is no good. Any advice on how to get successful again would be awesome. I have lost all confidence as a grower which sucks because I’ve had some absolutely massive grows. Anyways thanks for hearing me out, I love mushrooms but lately the have become a huge source of frustration and disappointment.
