First surf rod in my life

Today I took some of my life savings and bought my first surf gear and I am very excited about it!

Rod: Diawa CrossFire 7-15kg 12ft

Lures: bought a couple random ones

Reel: grampa gave to me in south africa 🇿🇦 It is the Diawa black widow 25A

Braid: J braid

Also getting a fillet knife kit from BigW and pliers. A nice esky for the future

Looking for a good rod and reel for about 300 too 500 dollars

Just a nice rod for beach , break walls etc etc and surf. Any size is fine as I am 15 6'2 and 109 kilo so no problemo (no flex🤣). Thanks for any recommendations but just for summer when the bigger fishes come out and I can save my parents money on dinners. Just a general use thank you
