(Urgent) 2 Week "Bridge" Foster Needed for Injured Dog [5/20 - 6/2] ** Supplies Provided
Timeline: Wednesday 5/20 - Tuesday 6/2. We are 100% committed to taking her back on 6/2.
The Situation: We pulled a "NoDasMed" girl from DAS (Fractured hock + heartworm) to prevent her from euthanization. Dallas Pet Alive! is interested in tagging her, which would cover her surgery and medication (we have already started this process!). They just need a confirmed foster window to say yes. Unfortunately, we need to leave the country on 5/20. There is a very high risk that Peaches will be euthanized during that window if we return her to DAS due to the nature of her injuries.
What I can provide:
- Crate
- Pen
- Food
- Pillow
- Pads
What she needs: She really just needs a quiet place to rest. Because of her injury, she is on strict "stay-in-pen" rest. No walks, no rough play.
Medical: Unfortunately, because she is on the "NoDasMed" list, DAS is not willing to provide medical help for her. If we can get her tagged by Dallas Pet Alive!, she will receive the medical help she deserves through the non-profit.
If you have a spare room or a quiet corner, you can literally be the bridge that saves her life.
We are asking for a 2 week commitment. If you have space, please reach out to me on reddit using DMs. We are currently located in Richardson, TX, but we have no problem driving out if that's what it takes to save her life.
