My father is 86 year old and sold our old house in 3-tier city. The transaction was around 37 L and in the previous financial year.
We did want to file tax but the transaction doesn’t show up anywhere in ais/26as or anywhere else. Consulted a ca who tried to see how to go about it . Currently he said to leave it for now and maybe if the transaction shows up later at some point or next year then we can file the tax. Else can just forget about it.
I just saw a post where the guy received an income tax notice after 11 years. Now i am wondering how we should tackle it. Seeking more input.

The transfer request from my previous employer to the current one is getting rejected with the above reason. My previous employer's PF consultant was a good guy and called and explained that there was no issue from their side and to try and file again and also check the current employer's Passbook.

On checking I found that for two months in 2025, the EPS wage columns has entry as 25000 instead of 15000. I was able to transfer previous PF accounts but that was in 2024 (before these 2 entries showed up in the passbook).

It looks like these 2 entries are causing this issue and I want to confirm if someone has faced such and issue and if that can be easily fixed by the current employer by filing correction/form 3A etc.

I have already asked out HR/PF consultant but want to check in parallel if this could be the reason.
