Meet Lieutenant Judas, my first character unit for the Ultramarines.

Had a blast doing this guy, made extra special by it being a kind donation from this community, shout out to u/JudasPainting for hooking me up.

Next is my Captain and then I’m excited to get on with my Guilliman and then either the Twin Lance, RepEx or Redemptor.

Finally, finally done.

This took far too long, between other projects and life, this must be 3/4 months worth of work, mainly bits and bobs every other day, no longer than an hour at a time.

This is two sets of 5 from the Combat Patrol magazine set and also where I learned what the term monopose meant.. just makes me want to buy the ‘proper’ kit now so I can get the heavy weapons options too.

Really enjoyed the process, mind, the primer got a bit ‘funny’, either too cold or too thick going on but I think it adds a little to the texture of the models.

First time using pigment power in earnest too, need to use less of that in future 👌

I’m now ready to be thoroughly underwhelmed by their performance on the tabletop - please James, give them a little nudge into the more useable direction as they are such cool, thematic units.
