The jellyfish cover is cool but since nothing is official I decided to make my own cover. I decided to use Chi as the subject & went with orange because I feel like that color fits the energy of the songs.
The second slide is the first version I made which I really like but I decided to redo it because it’s too similar to SNW & in my eyes the colors didn’t fit the music.
Will’s Song is a PJ Harvey track that only exists as a Jools Holland performance. Not even a b-sides,rarities & demos compilation she released had this song available in any way.
Another example I can think of are a series of fully tracked low quality demos from The Cure’s Wish sessions. They were made available on the deluxe of Wish but were heavily remixed & edited so the (superior) originals are just languishing as YouTube videos.
Dead Can Dance - Dead Can Dance (1984)
The Chameleons - Script of the Bridge (1983)
Original album’s artwork is by Reg Smithies
The Sound - From the Lion’s Mouth (1981)
Original album sleeve is ‘David in the Lion’s Den’ by Briton Rivière
I’ve been listening to The Chameleons’ initial 80’s run (the albums pictured) & it makes me feel like a Jehovah’s Witness cuz I want to convert all my friends into fans & knock on every door to spread the gospel of Mark Burgess.
Any artists that give you this itch? lol
