Dog digestive issues?
My 6 year old American bully has been a rough rescue for me. He’s my first dog and I got him about a year ago with no knowledge of how big of an uphill battle his health would be, since I got him he’s had consistant on and off diarrhea that appears out of no where for days. Vets have usually just prescribed him some medication which kind of clears it up for a bit but once the medication stops it comes back after some time. The other day I came home and he could not walk using his back legs and was basically dragging himself with his front legs. It was super scary for me and I didn’t even know what to do. I wanted to take them to the vet so bad but money has been so tight, and everything I was reading online was saying spinal/nerve issues and I knew this was gonna be another huge surgery for him. I waited a couple days and it seemed to have gotten better but he still seems weak in his back legs. His diarrhea is back and he overall just seems lethargic and slow, now on top of all this. He is also panting after he eats I need to get him into the vet and I’m well aware of this but he has been in and out of the vet these last few months for an ear infection and other joint issues with costly x-rays and not to mention I am still paying off a $10,000 tooth surgery I did for him once I got him. This is super stressful but I love this dog so much and he means everything to me and he is so amazing. I would do just about anything for him but my pocket just can’t support it at this moment. I’m super worried and stressed out. All I want to do is make it better for him. Can someone please give me a little bit of insight on what to expect when I take him to the vet tomorrow.
