If you’re a new creator or even a long-standing one, you probably noticed a massive wave of growth over June and July: tons of new followers, views, comments, gifts, and overall engagement.

I think that summer "gold rush" is coming to an end, leaving a lot of creators asking: Is it me? Did I do something wrong?

The answer is NO.

For context, I’m sharing my stats as a first-time streamer from my first 45 days on live (attached). During that surge, things were booming. Now, I can barely average 100 viewers on a good day. We still see occasional spikes, but nothing like earlier this summer.

Don't let the drop in numbers discourage you or make you change up what's already working. Keep grinding; we just have to push through this together!

Should YOU stream on Kick? (Day 4 of my kick experience)

Yes & no. I’m still pretty new to streaming.

I started streaming on TikTok LIVE 53 days ago with 183 followers and now I’m at a little over 18K, mostly from LIVE. I haven’t had a livestream clip go viral yet, so almost all of my growth came from actually streaming.

4 days ago, I decided to try Kick because I wanted a better revenue split. TikTok has been great for growth, but the payout structure is rough. I’ve received 100+ galaxies from supporters, and while I was paid fairly, TikTok still took a much larger cut.

My first day on Kick, someone from TikTok came over and dropped 500 Kicks ($5). It went quiet for a bit, then today someone else from TikTok came over, subscribed, and gifted 19 subs.

I’m now sitting around $99.80 after 4 days, which is honestly crazy to me.

But here’s what I’m wondering: is this sustainable?

Kick hasn’t really helped me grow yet. Almost everyone coming over is someone I originally built on TikTok, and I’m worried I can only bring so many people over.

So far, my biggest takeaway is:

If you’re brand new with no audience, I wouldn’t recommend starting with Kick or Twitch alone. TikTok LIVE seems much better for discovering small creators and building a community from scratch. Once you have an audience, moving to or multistreaming on other platforms makes way more sense.

I’m only 4 days into this journey, so I’d love to hear from experienced streamers & does anyone think I actually have a chance with this?
