CDN applying for UK passport - lost supporting documents?
My dad was born in the UK but has been a Canadian citizen for 40 years. With the new rules, he and I had to apply for British passports to enter the UK. Because our British passports expired in 2003, we needed to do a new application.
I sent the documents they ask for together in an envelope with both application numbers. Our old British passport, both current Canadian passports, my birth certificate, his birth certificate, my parents marriage licence and certificate.
Yesterday I received an email saying my application was approved and was being printed. He received an email stating we sent a colour photocopy of just his ID page of Canadian passport and they need either the passport or all pages in colour. But we sent his passport! I contact the HRM Passport Office who said they’d note the file but does this mean it’s lost? He’s extremely worried our documents will be lost and not sent back.
