Net migration is down… how to spin it as a Labour failing

I have a new favourite hobby. Any time there’s good news in the UK, I jump on to the Telegraph’s website and see how they’ve spun it as a story about another failure by our utterly terrible Labour government.

Here’s the headlines from the major UK media outlets today after the positive progress on net migration. I’ll let you guess which one in the Torygraph! 😅

When to drop wraparound care?

For WFH parents that used wraparound care, what age did you find your child was mature enough to come home after school whilst you continued to work?

For context, my eldest is starting primary school. We’ve booked the wraparound care provided by the school. That’ll keep him occupied from 2-5:30pm while I complete my day job.

With another baby on the way, I am doing some financial planning and projecting childcare costs for the years ahead.

I work from home and have in-laws nearby. In theory, when my eldest is a little older, I could drop the wraparound care and bring him home, as long as he is mature enough to eat, do his homework and entertain himself.

Realistically, what age might this be at?
