Folks, had a random thought over breakfast this morning!

So what’s considered a wise financial discipline or smarter allocation of your assets who is little under 40?
a) Having cash pile $1M in one single account - let’s say some tech heavy Index fund. vs.
b) Having the same $1M distributed into an Investment account with active day trading (10%), a 401k with an aggressive tech growth mutual fund (60%), an education 529 with similar growth portfolio (5%), a traditional IRA (10%) and a company RSUs (10%) and traditional high yield Savings account (5%).

Plus home equity $700k

Btw.. I do have one of this scenarios rn.

Thanks!
