My cat has been wheezing/coughing a few times a week. I took him for X-rays to check for asthma, but the vet said his lungs look clear. The only thing they noted was that his heart looked "slightly rounder" than normal. They suggested just monitoring him for now.

Has anyone else dealt with this? If it isn't asthma, could the heart shape be related to the wheezing? Should I ask for a proBNP test or see a specialist?

(Note: I have been giving him hairball specific gel and food so I don't know if it is a hairball)
