fit check for mom (34ff?) (totally wrong shape?)

fit check for mom (34ff?) (totally wrong shape?)

please see my last post on my mom's behalf for measurements and our initial, seemingly incorrect impressions.

these are photos of elomi lucie in 32g with an extender and panache nina in 34g. unfortunately, we couldn't immediately find the nina in 34ff (although we could have tried harder); we also tried the lucie in 32gg but it had more of the same fit issues but worse. as you can see, these don't fit. i am thinking she is not actually FOT and that she may be shallower with softer tissue than we thought as well, but i'll go with your thoughts ofc. what should we try next?

fit check/recommendations for 32dd/e with shoulder pain

i was recommended by the calculator 32dd/e/f depending on what time i took the measurements, etc (see post) so per comments i tried on all sizes. i picked panache envy and ana since I believed I am FOB, and sized up in the cup for ana since I heard it runs small there. i don't know what an correctly fitting bra looks like on me, so am turning to you all

envy 32DD: feels comfortable; one boob looked a little weird, i showed with my finger where it is lying, but maybe it is normal. best of the lot.

envy 32E: gore may be slightly too high/digging; some wrinkling all around; top hook keeps unhooking at the back, but only in this bra?

envy 32F: gore digging in; wrinkling; top of cup collapsing; certainly too big, did not bother with photos

ana 32E: feels comfortable; folding in bottom of cup

ana 32F: gore digging in; wrinkling all around; bottom of cup fits well but top of cup collapsing

ana 32FF: same as 32F but worse, did not bother with photos

see photos. if you are having any difficulty seeing anything due to my hair let me know -- for the record, i know it's hard to see but the gores were always tacking.

other than the above notes, i found that after a few minutes the bra straps (even when i loosened them as much as possible) were causing shoulder pain running down my arm, which was immediately alleviated by taking off the bras. i am no stranger to this happening with heavy necklaces, bags, etc. but it doesn't typically happen with a regular ol' medium sports bra. i wonder if the panache straps are too wide set for me.

from all this, i think the 32DD envy is best, with ana unfortunately being ill fitting due to shape. please confirm/deny. i would love to know what styles i should look out for in the future either to help narrow down any fit issues you see or to alleviate the shoulder pain. thanks all!

measurement check for mom (34FF/32G FOT)

This post is for my mom since she complained to me about her bras. I told her some of the beginner ABTF tips and she agreed to order some bras more her size. She doesn't currently wear underwire but is happy to try with something closer to fitting her.

She checked leaning over and said she is FOT and horizontally even. She has been pregnant before but has fairly dense tissue.

tight: 31.5

snug: 32

loose: 34

standing: 40

leaning: 42

laying: 40

The calculator gave 34 FF UK, I think 32G with an extender is worth a shot as well. Does that sound correct as a start? Should she try a cup size and down? She is a different shape/size that I, any suggestions on styles?

getting varied results from the calculator

Kind of a two part question. I am familiar with and very fond of ABTF but typically go braless so haven't been concerned with it in a while. Got curious again, measured last month and came out to 32E/F, then again today and came out to 32DD/E... and then 32F.

I can see how I could get different results from different numbers. However, as I input the different numbers, I ended up feeling a bit confused at how the calculator works.

31.5 / 30.5 / 29.5 // 36 / 38 / 36 = 32 E/F

32 / 31 / 30 // 36 / 38 / 36 = 32 DD/E (marginally looser band measurements for comfort, still within the same band range, but the estimated cup decreased?)

32 / 31 / 30 // 36 / 39 / 36 = 32 DD (higher leaning to accommodate for asymmetry *decreased* the estimated cup size??)

32 / 31 / 30 // 37 / 39 / 37 = 32F (larger standing/lying size on remeasuring suddenly pushes the cup size two volumes)

Can anyone explain why the calculator decreases the cup size with only slightly larger band measurements, why the increased leaning decreased the cup size, and why the cup size then jumps up with only an additional inch on the standing bust? I seem to recall there is a different calculation for more projection so maybe I am just running afoul of the border between categories.

Also, any thoughts on what sizes I should be trying

out? I'm thinking 32Es are probably safe for anything true to size, but I'm reliant on measurements until I work up the courage to order something. Thanks all.
