Just found out I’m a US 38M/N as my starting size. Where do I even start?

I’m a little overwhelmed & unsure where to start, so I’ll jump right in.

I’m in my mid 20’s & I have always had very large breasts. Previous partners have joked that they have their own gravitational pull. When buying a bra, I have always gotten something in the 44F range or the biggest size that store had. It always feels uncomfortable & my breasts spill out the sides & center of every bra I’ve ever worn. Recently I’ve been binding my chest to not deal with it (also due to being gender apathetic). It’s a problem I’ve been too poor to attempt solving.

Now, I’ve come into a little money & started doing research. I’ve been reading information in this subreddit for hours today & used the attached calculator. Imagine my shock in finding out my starting size should be 38M/N. Where do I find that? Is there anything wrong with buying a Goddess bra off of Amazon just to see if that is my size? Is it okay if I don’t understand my “shape”at this point? Is it worth getting professionally measured or does this size seem accurate? I’m still on a budget, but if I were to buy one good bra that fits me, where should I buy from?

Thank you all so much for creating this community. I’m hoping that I can educate myself & be able to help the next 38M that comes along 🖤

Does my bra size seem right? Looking for fit and support advice

My measurements (ABraThatFits calculator):

Loose underbust: 31 in Snug underbust: 30.5 in Tight underbust: 28 in Standing bust: 37 in Leaning bust: 38 in Lying bust: 37 in

The calculator suggested a starting size of 30F/FF (UK). It also mentioned that the sister size 32E/F (UK) might be more comfortable.

Does this look right? I tried to take the measurements as accurately as I could and does it look right?

I use a 32B bra currently which seems to fit right but I'm gaining a little weight and I've noticed what I think is side breast tissue and a bit of sagging.

I hate wearing a bra but would like some suggestions to keep my breast in shape and supported.

Should I wear a bra full time or only when I go out? And would like some suggestions on the type of bra which is comfortable for daily wear.

I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

What are ladies with D+ boobs wearing for backless dresses?

Are inserts or sticky boobs worth the money? Or should I just go the tape route? Either way, what brands are we loving?

Ideally looking for a bit of a lift but more so, something that will keep me contained, as a MOH in a summer wedding.

Wireless Bra Recommendations - UK 40GG

I'm having some health issues and all I can tolerate are wireless bras, but I'm having trouble finding them. To be more specific, I'm having trouble finding ones that have enough room/coverage to fully hold my breasts.

The best fitting one I've found so far is one I saw advertised on TikTok (I know...) - OEAK Jelly Bra in XX-Large, but it's still a bit too small to fully contain my breast tissue. I can't go up a size because the band will be too large for me.

Does anyone have recommendations? The bra doesn't have to be insanely supportive like a sports bra, but some support is needed. Thank you!

Loose Underbust: 40
Snug Underbust: 39.5
Tight Underbust: 38
Standing Bust: 48.5
Leaning Bust: 51
Lying Bust: 47.5
Suggested starting size: 40G/GG UK (The sister size of 38GG/H may be more supportive)

[Measurement Check] Currently wearing 36DDD. My bras never fit right. The ABTF calculator tells be I’m a 36J/K

Hey all!

I used the a Bra That Fits calculator to check for a more accurate bra sizing on my self but I know/think that it is less accurate when giving a US bra size. Any help in letting me know if its size recommendation is accurate would be super helpful! I would also really appreciate any recommendations of bras that come in my size or stores that may stock my bra size. I currently mainly wear sports bras as they are the easiest to shop for in my size but I really need something I can wear with dressier clothes.

All measurements were taken in inches.

Loose Underbust: 36.5

Snug Underbust: 35.5

Tight Underbust: 34

Standing Bust: 45

Leaning Bust: 48.5

Lying Bust: 46

Uk size recommendation: 36GG/H

US size recommendation: 36J/K

Looking for a similar bra to a discontinued VS bra

Hello! I am looking for similar bra to this discontinued Victoria Secret bra. It was called “lightly lined wear everywhere bra”. They discontinued this bra around 2022 😭 they have a new similar one but it doesn’t fit the same at all. I am not wanting any pushups either. I am a 34A

Managing boob size changes during postpartum

Is the best option just nursing / pumping sports bras? I was a 42E (US) before breast feeding and currently fluctuate like 2-3” depending on the hour of the day. I can’t imagine figuring out underwire but at the same time I am thinking about aesthetics a little.

I need some help. I don’t like bra’s. They never fit well, they hurt under my arms. I used the calculator, but that did make me more confused. Currently 75B, calculator say‘s 70E #measurement check

My measurements are:
Loose underbust 80 cm
Snug underbust 79 cm
Tight underbust 76 cm
Standing bust 90 cm
Hanging bust 94cm
Lying bust 91 cm

The calculator suggested size 70E! That leaved me confused.

I’m a mother of 2 kids (16 and 13 years old) and I breastfed them both 9 months.
My breasts are not firm anymore, but not complete teabags.

Currently I use 75B as my size. (European size)

Please help, what is the best size for me?
And wat do I look for in a bra? I want a nice bust, but not necessary push up.
And the most important thing is: I don’t want to feel my bra.

Fantasie Fusion underwire side support bra, 30FF

As the title says, checking the fit of this bra!

https://postimg.cc/gallery/k4tsZQg

Measurements:
Loose 30.75
Snug 29.75
Tight 28
Standing bust 37
Leaning bust 38.25
Laying bust 36

Calculated size 30FF. I think I’m fairly projected with a FOB conical shape that sits relatively low on my chest.

Overall the bra is mostly comfortable, but I still very much feel like I’m wearing a bra. The places I feel it most are in the gore and the straps by my armpits. I did the scoop and swoop and made sure it’s sitting in my IMF. I like the fabric of it, and really appreciate how smooth it looks under clothes.

I’m planning on trying a Panache Ana next, but wanted to see if there are other suggestions or advice. Thanks!

im so very confused by the abtf calulator suggested size

so if i buy a real bra and not just some pull over 3x bra then i buy a 44 A or B or C(whichever i can find)... ive lost a crap ton of weight and was hoping the abtf calc could help me more. But that thing is saying to try a 46 DD/DDD............ the cup of a 44A is often still too big so how in the world would i fit into a 46DD which is practically the size of a small canteloupe and im like a small orange loose ub-50 snug ub-47 tight ub-45 standing bust-53 leaning bust-56 laying bust-52

Bra for Post Weight-loss and Age Related Sagging

Looking for bra recommendations as I'm not sure which way to go. I will be 47 😭 in a few weeks and recently lost a lot of weight. I've really begun to notice how heavy and saggy my breasts look now...my bras just don't seem to give them enough lift anymore. The fact that I work from home and usually don't wear a bra all day probably doesn't help. I'm now around a 34F.

For years I've worn Cacique balconettes. They were always super comfy and supportive. I also wore Cacique wireless bras for running errands and the like. They don't seem to be doing the job anymore and the smaller sizes are harder to find at Lane Bryant so looking for new. I feel like I still look saggy even my best wired bras.

Need a bra that will give a lot of lift to my very heavy breasts but is also comfortable. Would prefer to find both wired and unwired options. I hate uniboob and want something that visibly separates. Prefer something that hooks in the back rather than a pull over.

Been looking at the Defy or Beyond bra as potential wireless options. I don't know where I should look for a good wired option.

24M with a large chest: Looking for bra recommendations and shared experiences

A while ago, I posted here admitting something I'd been too embarrassed to tell anyone.
I'm a 24-year-old straight guy with a larger chest (around 38DD). Wearing a bra feels genuinely comfortable and natural to me. I also shared that I have a strong attraction to chest and nipple stimulation, and I was wondering if other straight men experience anything similar.
I didn't get many responses, so I thought I'd ask a few more specific questions.
One thing I'm genuinely curious about is bras. Since I have a larger chest, I'd like to find bras that actually fit well and are comfortable for daily wear.
For anyone in India, especially Tamil Nadu:
Where can I get properly measured without being judged?

Are there stores that are respectful if a man is shopping for a bra for himself?

Which brands are comfortable for fuller chests?

Has anyone else (male or female) found that wearing a bra is simply more comfortable?

I'd also really appreciate hearing from other straight men with larger chests if you've had similar experiences. I've felt pretty alone with this and would like to know whether anyone else relates.
Please be kind. I'm asking because I'm genuinely looking for advice and understanding.

hi ! recently found out I have a 28D/DD bra size and I have been using 32B which is small, but my country (Philippines) doesn't sell that size and I don't think I have enough money to buy legit bra brands overseas. can anyone recommend local (online) stores?

specifically I really want to buy a push up bra but I'm confused how sizing works in that kind of bra type and the one I bought doesn't fit me right and doesn't even push my breasts right, they just add padding which I don't particularly like. I'm also thinking of just buying a 32C sister size and I hope it fits. my breasts are kind of far apart so I really want one that not only pushes them up but also closer?? if you know what I mean.

[Shape Help] [Recommendations] Bras that fit larger cup, close-set, center-full, with wide & tall roots?

ABTF Calculations (inches)

Loose: 29.5

Snug: 28.5

Tight: 28

Standing: 38

Leaning: 39

Lying: 38

Suggested Size: 30G/GG UK, 30I/J US

Shape, as I understand it:

* close-set (less than one finger width between, touching cleavage even when unsupported)

* tall roots (tissue starts 1 inch below collarbone)

* wide roots (tissue spans entire width of armpit)

* self-supporting (less than an inch of tissue rests on lower ribs when unsupported - which combined with the above indicates a shallow breast shape despite cup size, correct?)

* very center-full

* even vertical fullness (though bras for top full may work best, if I understand all of the above correctly)

Further considerations:

I've lost 25lbs in the last nine months without trying. I figured out some long-standing inflammation issues and my body seems to have finally settled at a healthy point. None of my clothes, including underwear and bras, fit well right now. I'm having to purchase everything new so my budget is a bit tight.

I'm age 40+ and have D-rated breast density according to mammogram and ultrasound. I struggle with lots of breast tenderness. I also breastfed for nearly four years with massive oversupply. Those tall & wide roots all worked hard and are still pressure-sensitive in their retirement. I've never found an underwire that properly fits without sitting directly on tender tissue either at the gore, under my armpits, or both.

One month ago, my mother and I both had lumpectomies. Hers came back positive for breast cancer, and while mine thankfully did not, I've been warned that I may have more surgeries in the future. My breast specialist surgeon recommended I avoid underwires for daily wear.

I'm still having a lot of tenderness with movement post-op and would feel more comfortable with firmer support. Finding wireless sports bras in my size that actually provide support at the band without squashing my tender stitches feels impossible. I'd like to buy a few bras that work for this in case I have surgery again.

Once I'm fully recovered, I'd like a decent mix of bras and a couple of swimsuit tops in my proper size. I'm curious if there are any uni-wire bras in my size that would avoid the gore tacking issue all together and could possibly be bent further back at the ends if need be. I'm open to one or two underwires for special occasion wear if there are any you think would fit.

For daily wear, I've struggled with many styles. Full coverage, t-shirt, and plunge bras all give me quad-boob. Balconette solves the problem of cups runeth over, but are usually too wide at the gore. Bras with side-support often rub my armpits raw (I'm 5'2" and short-waisted with a petite frame). Long-line bras roll up for the same reason. Demi cups seem to have worked best in the past, though those appear to be in short supply in my cup size.

Any help or recommendations at all would be greatly appreciated! I'm in the USA and there is one specialty bra fitter in my city, but she only seemed to carry full-coverage bras in my size.

Trouble understanding my size (34F/FF) and looking for UK recommendations

Hi all,

Since I hit late thirties and lost a bit of weight, I've struggled to feel comfortable in most bras, no matter it feels like the band is too tight or too loose. I've given up on underwires. I'm sensitive to any scratchy feeling so I avoid lace, mesh, rough seams and clasps that don't have enough fabric to cover the hook part to stop it from rubbing my skin. It's annoying that a lot of bras marketed as being made for comfort almost always have a rough seam on the inside and all the smoothness on the outside, what is the point in that? Why don't they put all the seams on the outside of the bra if the point is to be comfortable?

It's funny, I remember when I was about 18 the underwire on my favourite bra started poking out and would scratch me, and I still wore that bra for ages after. Now I'm 40 and I can feel if a thread from a seam is sticking out and it makes me want to tear the bra to pieces.

If anyone has recommendations, I'm UK based!

Anyway, I've been wearing a UK 34E but the ABTF calculator has put me at a 34F/FF. What does the /FF mean exactly? Am I between a 34F and 34FF, or does it mean I should try both and see which is better?

Measurements:

Loose underbust: 34

Snug: 32.9

Tight: 31.5

Standing bust: 40.5

Leaning bust: 41.5

Lying bust: 40

(27 MTF) I put on some weight and now my bras feel tight while driving for work. How do I find the right bra that I can wear comfortably both sitting down and standing up?

Edit:

Loose Underbust: 46 Snug Underbust: 45.6 Tight Underbust: 45.2 Standing bust: 48.8 Leaning bust: 52.3 Lying bust: 50.6

My breasts point out on both sides, and they don't look full whatsoever.

Original: This last week while driving my chest felt tight in the band area, right under my breasts. I took my measurements while standing up and sitting down and noticed that the measuring tape stretches out. I also wore mostly push up bras and plunge bras because it gave me a confidence boost. My chest hasn't rounded out yet, maybe it never will, and it felt good seeing myself in the mirror. But right now I need to prioritize comfort and all my bras really dig into my skin and it hurts. Please help me, thank you.

[Measurements Help] I'm a 36J, I've never heard of this size what does it mean?

Sorry if I'm not posting correctly, I'd appreciate some guidance should my post need to be removed.

I've been wanting to do this for a long time and just never remembered today. I did my measurements but idk what they mean, I've never seen a 36J size and I googled it to see what stores would carry them and they look big, like way bigger than what I am (or at least I think so?).

Idk what I'm asking, I just want a bra that is comfortable, that keeps my tatas in place since they tend to go towards my arms and right now the only bra I'm wearing is a DKNY XL that I really thought I got from Amazon, but can't find on my order history, so I don't even know where I got it.

My measurements in inches

Loose Underbust: 36.5 Snug Underbust: 36 Tight Underbust: 35 Standing Bust: 44 Leaning Bust: 46 Lying Bust: 43

Edit: Cleaned up the format* and also according to bra calculator, my shape is full on bottom.

I've lost a lot of weight and I'm at that maintenance/polishing phase where my weight hasn't changed much but my shape and measurements have some...for a short while I could squeeze into a 32DDD in a pinch.... By measurements I'm currently a 30J... No where carries a 30J what do I do?

I lost a lot of mass in (mostly the top half) my boobs during a phase of my Weightloss where I lost very quickly (around the time I bought the 32DDD), more than I believe I would have lost if I lost weight during that phase more sustainably, I regained about 15 pounds and lost back down sustainably with focus on fitness, and my boobs no longer fit into the 32DDD despite the fact I weigh the same as when I bought it. Even the specialty bra stores around here don't carry a J with a 30 band... And even stores online it's hard for me to find a 30J, the 30 is very important. I can go down in band but not up. I am autistic and will not wear a bra that moves up and down my ribs in the band, I want it Velcro on my upper ribs lol I might consider a 32I as on the tightest setting my 32DDD is tight enough, and I can shove them in their without my nips poking out the top of the cups, which happens with even a single size down (same brand, I have 2 32DD I can't wear but bought on sale with hopes and dreams)...

Sorry for this long post, idk where else to go
