I’m a 34G/34GG UK according to the calculator but nothing fits me perfectly

My measurements (in CM):
Loose underbust: 87
Snug underbust: 86
Tight underbust: 85
Standing bust: 108
Leaning bust: 114-116 (it changes for some reason)
Laying down bust: 108

First bras I ordered were the “Non Padded Balcony” from Next.com, size 34G. I tried them on and they fit horribly, nothing about them worked. I had to return them.

The next one I tried was in store and it was the Chantelle 32G (US 32I) it was the only one they had anywhere near my size and the band was obviously tight but I got an extender with it and now the band is fine. The cups are a bit tight as well but it was my only option at the time.

I also ordered 3 Freya bras online, the “Loveland Plunge” in 34GG, the “Chill Plunge” in 34GG and the “Signature Plunge” in 34G.

I got them today, the band itself feels fine on all of them. But the Chill Plunge fits the worst overall. The gore is so painful I struggle breathing and the cups don’t fit at all either. The other two feel much better, with the “Loveland Plunge” being the most comfortable out of the 3. But I noticed that the wires sit way below my fold and if I try to get them to sit right under my fold, the top of the cups lift and become loose. But if I pull the wire back down to the skin that’s under my fold, the cups fit better but you can still see that it fits wrong and the wires sit pretty far underneath my chest. I realized the same thing is happening with the Chantelle bra.

I would attach photos but I don’t want creeps in my DM’s. I hope I managed to explain myself well. I’m beginning to feel like there aren’t any bras that work for me, these ones are far better than the bras I was previously wearing (34DD) where I used to get quadboob or the wires would be hanging in the air. But I’m frustrated because I still feel like I haven’t managed to get it right and I’m tired of wasting my time having to return stuff and lose money and try again. I would love some advice.

Ewa Michalak sizing help! 28H in UK sizing, cant figure out sizing in EM

Hi,

I recently ordered a bra from Ewa Michalak. I gave my measurements: 26-27 inches underbust, 35-36 inches bust. They sent me a 70E, which didn't seem right, but I went with it. When it arrived, it obviously didn't fit me, but it's hard to get the correct size virtually. Im a UK 28H, so if anyone is the same size as me and wears EM bras, please let me know what size I should order for my exchange.

The bra was great, aside from it being way too small. I really like the forward projection, but I need it in the correct size.

I'd be grateful if someone could reply!! Thank you

In Need of a Bra Fitting Specialist - How Can I find One ?!

I have just about had it with my current bra(s) ! After having breastfed, losing weight, gaining weight, losing weight again there is not one single bra I have found that will actually support my gals. I either get spillage out the side, spillage out the front, gaps in my cups, banding that cuts into my sides, I just can't win.

Wondering if anyone knows anywhere that has a specialist to help find the right bra ? I need to work with someone so they can see my issues. Nothing I buy works. Sigh !

Help finding a bra for very soft breast tissue

Here are my measurements-

Loose: 35 in

Snug: 34.5 in

Tight: 32.5 in

Standing: 40 in

Leaning: 44 in

Lying: 42 in

The results:

Suggested Starting Size: 34F/FF UK The sister size of 36E/F may be more comfortable.

I currently wear Third Love T-shit bra in 34 G, this is fairly comfortable other than the straps seem too short and it's not supportive enough. The gore also puckers out about an inch from my body and does not sit flat. My breast are very soft and basically have no shape when not in a bra. They are dense so not pancake flat. I have very prominent nipples after breastfeeding two babies.

So far, I have tried:

Panache Cari Underwire in 34 F- the band was way too tight and the fabric was very scratchy.

Fantasie Illusion Side support bra in 34 G- the band was a little tight and the cups were slightly too big. I liked this one but prefer a molded cup.

Freya Idol Underwire molded T-shirt in 34 G- the band was way too tight and the cups were way too big. I wonder if this one would work in a different size. I'm just not sure what size to order next.

What do you recommend from here?

Bra fat troubles (on the chest)

Been wearing sports bras for as long as I can remember. I am on the heavier side, 5ft 22 year old female, 212lbs. I've never been properly fitted for actual bras before so I do not know my cup size, but I've noticed and this is a guess that after wearing sports bras for so many years that it threw off my breasts from forming correctly. I don't have a cleavage it looks more like sports bra buldge on my chest. My posture isn't very good so it looks very noticeable like I have another roll of fat on my chest. It makes me very insecure and I don't know how to fix the issue in that specific area. Ive been told that there's workouts to reduce fat in upper body region but how do I reduce it when its directly on my chest between my breasts? It's weird because when I bend over the fat is still visible and i can still feel it while also seeing the shape of my breasts, but when I stand up again the shape of my breasts is gone. I've been google searching but all I could see pop up was fat coming from either the back or the sides but never directly on the chest. Should I stop wearing sports bras (besides to the gym) and start wearing actual bras to help reshape my breasts from working out?

Needed to make an update on this after doing a check for standing and leaning over

Can anyone recommend natural fibre bras, small band large cup?

I have been looking for a long time now for bras made of natural fibres that come in my size (30D). I am very sensitive to synthetic materials and I would dearly like to be in possession of just one bra with at least cotton lining in the cups. However all the brands that do cotton that I can find either have polyester cups or start at a 32.

Does anyone know where I can look? Ideally I am looking for an everyday underwire bra that can be padded or not, and I am ok with blends as long as they have some significant proportion of cotton or another natural material. I would also welcome recommendations for non-wired bras as I haven't really been able to find those either, but I am mainly looking for something to wear everyday.

Other useful information would be that I live in the UK, so preferably brands that ship here.

Looking for a moulded cup with minimizing profile (UK)

Hi! I realise "minimizing" is a specific keyword so I'll be more specific about the profile I like and what I'm looking for.

For my everyday I always wear either sports bras or unlined unwired lounge bras, which keeps my tissue pretty close to my torso.

What hasn't worked for me: I have followed ABTF advice before and an underwire semi-stretch mesh balconette bra (probably Curvy Kate?) was definitely 'right' for my body but I felt so outwardly projected that I was not aesthetically comfortable with it.

That said, my natural projection is also pretty sideways oriented and in the 'squish/lay flat' garments I opt for it does get more sideways. In some outfits (esp jumpers) it makes me look very lumpy.

The solution I think I'm looking for is some kind of smooth moulded cup for a nicer silhouette but I'd really like a recommendation for one that will still 'hold' the tissue closer to my torso if possible. There is a Bravissimo near me if people especially have any recommendations I can try/buy there.

Hopefully that makes sense, thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Edit to add: I have pretty gnarly migraines, if any of this is phrased bizarrely thanks for your patience.

Edit for size: 36G/GG/H depending on brand/style.

Not sure what size to get after gaining weight

I (20F) recently gained about 20 pounds after coming back from bootcamp and I have no idea what size to get now. I used to be a 30C, but now even a 32C is too tight in both the cups and band. The calculator recommended a 30DD, but I’m worried the band will be too tight on me since I can’t even breathe in a 32C. I’ve been so nervous to post, but it really sucks only being able to wear sports bras now :(. I haven’t been out yet to try on new sizes, but I was originally thinking I’d be a 34C. I’m just really frustrated because even when buying clothes online based on my measurements, it’s always way too tight on me. Does anyone have any suggestions on what sizes to try?

** snug underbust: 28
** tight underbust: 27.5
** loose underbust: 29
** standing bust: 33.5
** leaning bust: 35
** laying bust: 32.5

[Measurement Check/ Recommendations] Bras size 26F / 55G

Hey, I'm trying to find a bra and according to the calculator my suggested sizes are 26F / 28E or 55G/ H or 60F/G since I'm not from UK. It's been really hard to find something, since the size seems very uncommon. I do not wear bras on a daily basis, so I'm just trying to find a decent one for specific occasions, preferably 2nd hand. I bought one from Cleo in size 28F but somehow the band feels quite tight while the cups are too large. To be fair, I'm also not sure how exactly it is supposed to fit but that definitely didn't seem right. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Beginning my bra journey - wide set boobs on small frame

I just used the calculator and got my result, and ready to start shopping! Looking for brands, tips etc on what to buy for wider set boobs. I have always found traditional underwire really uncomfortable because it pushes my boobs super far inward.

I did find some unwired low support bras at VS recently in 32DD that seem to fit well and aren’t uncomfortable

My result on the bra that fits calculator is 30F UK, 30G US/Canada. My measurements in inches are:

Loose Underbust: 30
Snug Underbust: 29
Tight Underbust: 28
Standing Bust: 36
Leaning Bust: 39
Lying Bust: 36

Shape tends to be 1-2/5, lower projection. Most of my fullness sits on the lower and outer portion on my breasts. They stick out a little on the sides when I’m standing straight ahead

I’d especially love any recommendations for high impact sports bras. I have not been able to find ANYTHING. The band either floats an inch out from my ribs or the cups is so tight that it hurts.

Would love any advice or insight! TIA!

Wondering if this is a good fit but need an alternative?

I've recently tried the gossard superboost bra and I'm unsure if it's a good fit. I don't like the shape or the low plunge I feel like it's not enough coverage. But if the fit is ok I was hoping for recommendations for something I'd prefer

Pictures here https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnw3p/pictures/

I have tried a few bras and I think I have tall roots and close set. Average to shallow projection. Wide set. But I'm not sure that's from other fit advice elsewhere.

My measurements are

Loose 33, tight 32, snug, 31 standing 38.5, leaning 42 and lying 41. My boobs have loose tissue and are flat on top when unsupported so measuring is tricky. But after trying on many bras I reckon size 32ff is right however I'm struggling to find the perfect bra

I'm in the UK and buy bras online from bravissimo belle lingerie and bra stop. I loved the Chantelle Norah comfort but the gore was too high for my close set boobs. Trying to find a bra that suits my shape etc has proved tricky. I've tried on many

a bra that fits..in this specific way?

according to calculator i’m 65E/30DD. I bought bras in 65E, 70C, and 70B to try(closest i could find). 65E and 70B gaps massively. 70C doesn’t but i think it’s cause it’s unpadded/thin. however, i’m an active woman throughout the day, everyday, not just workout. so the bra i need for support and comfort is a snug push-up with almost binder effect. sports bras don’t do it. I have been using 65B push ups and they give best support so far, but i can only wear them under high necks cause of spillage and exposure. and they are not comfortable.

so with this in mind, what size or type should i be looking at?

Bikini rekommendations for a Polish bra lover

I normally wear BM (or SM before they were discontinued ) bras from Ewa Michalak. I like the projection and the fact that the underwires are narrow and within my frame. I already own two bikinis, one from Elomi that i love and a panache that is ok but I don't love it since i think it's too wide and flat even though the size was right. And here is my latest struggle. I recently lost some weight and my bikinis still fit me well enough for something to be worn to the beach or for a swim but now they have some extra space on the sides where I almost can fit my entire hand (especially in panache). I know ewa has some bikinis but I don't really like them and they also do more padded versions. Do you have any recommendations for brands and models that would work? Plunges usually don't work well for me since I'm center full. Style wise I like a bikini that is something more than just a plain bra if you know what I mean.

My measurements in cm

LU: 88

SU: 85

TU: 78

Standing bust: 110

Leaning bust: 123

Lying bust: 114

[fit check] Marks & Spencer Jasmine 32E - this is a pretty good fit, right?

I'm keeping it in any case because it is sooo cheap (like 12 €) and I urgently needed a 2nd bra, but I wanted to check for anything that could be improved for future purchases.

Underbust 84/82/76 cm

Bust 96/97/94 cm

Suggested starting size 32DD/E or sister 34D/DD. The 32DD's I've tried before were too small. I have a couple 34DDs from the past but the fit is definitely off.

Calculator said I'm a 32J US. Do my measurements accurately reflect that calculation?

Loose Underbust: 32.75"

Snug Underbust: 32.25"

Tight Underbust: 30.25"

Standing Bust: 39"

Leaning Bust: 45"

Lying Bust: 42"

If y'all think the calculator is accurate, what are good brands that make 32J bras? Also, I'm completely new to this subreddit, so advice on how to search and find a bra is greatly appreciated.

Help? 32G FOB need support, no idea what to do

I do not want to draw attention to my chest. I plan to get a reduction/removal soon, but I need support until then. My back hurts and I regularly ask my partner to just hold my breasts for me because it feels so nice to have the weight off for a minute. (They don't mind lol) I've been scrounging by on sports bras from general stores for a few years but I have to face the facts...

My upper ribcage is about 32 inches. Bust size is 40 inches. They're fuller on bottom and fuller in the middle, but I generally don't have a ton of visible cleavage so I think they're kinda widely spaced.

I don't want anything patterned or lacy. Just a smooth, supportive, nude bra with decent coverage that *doesn't* pad or push up. Underwire is fine, and probably necessary. Would LOVE a wider strap for comfort.

I know very little about bra shopping, just trying to use the guides scattered around the sub. Would love some help? Advice?

The bra fits good but I think it could be better

Hi I used the calculator and got these measurements:

Loose underbust: 33.5

Snug underbust: 32.5

Tight underbust: 31

Standing bust: 36.5

Leaning bust: 37.5

Lying bust: 37

For a starting size of US 34D

So I bought a bra in that size and it fits much better than my old bras (used to think I was between a 34C and 36C) BUT I still feel like theres a small gap between the top of the bra and my boobs. Like maybe less than half an inch.

Am I just being picky or is there a different type of bra/size I should try? For reference I got a wired bra from the brand b.tempt'd if that matters.

Holy G/H cups, Batman! The calculator works

I stumbled upon this Reddit by accident earlier in the week. A 6 measurement calculator that magically determines the correct bra size seemed like wizardry but what did I have to lose?

Under bust:

Loose 38

Snug 37

Tight 36

Bust:

Standing.44.75

Leaning 45.5

Laying 44.5

Magic 8 ball says: US 38 G/H

I've been wearing 36DD. In my late 20s, I thought I was a B cup, went to Lane Bryant and found out I was a D. Now at 52, I discover I'm a G/H?

After discussing this with friends for 2 days, I figured a quick trip to the mall would reveal the truth. It did. I'm US 34H/36G in the specific bra I bought. The saleswoman measured me in the strangest of ways but I had already put myself into the bras . She did measure me and used their "true for" Wacoal bra as well (full cups, no stretch) and in that particular bra, I'm a US 36DDD (36F).

[Fit Check] 34B to 30 DD Wacoal B.tempt'd Future foundation convertible contour bra

Hi Everyone!

I'm new here and just jumping into the much larger wild west world of bra fitting than I ever thought possible. Just had a bra fitting and hoping to see if this is indeed the correct size before I commit to buying more. I'm wondering if. I should actually size up?

EDIT: Photos of the fit to get opinions on fit before I commit to buying more in this size.

Here's what I've learned so far:

Measurements:

Underbust Loose: 29.5"

Underbust Snug: 28.5"

Underbust Tight: 27.5"

Bust: 34"

90 degrees: 36"

Lying down: 34.5"

The ABTF calculator says I am a US: 30DDD/G and UK size 30 E/F.

Size:

I've always worn 34B and felt I have rather small breasts. Biggest complaint with my 34B bras is that I always "fall out" over the top when bending over, which is what led me down this bra fitting rabbit hole.

I recently went to Dillards and had a fitting done: she initially put me in a 30DDD "sizer" bra but felt the wire went into breast tissue on the outside and moved me down to a 30DD. The wire on the DDD was really big and C shaped and went way up to my armpit whereas the wire on the 30DD was more U shaped under the breast.

The new sized bra:

I bought a couple Wacoal B.tempt'd Future Foundation convertible contour bras in 30DD and they generally feel fine (no more boobs falling out when I bend over, yay!) but I do feel overly aware of the underwire.

-The band and wires especially feel a bit tight. I find myself pulling the bra down to get the wires a little lower.

-Until now, I've never worn underwires because I find them uncomfortable. I like my bras to feel as non-noticable as possible, super soft, etc. Maybe I'm just getting used to it? Are wires necessary?

-The gore and straps seem to fit well.

-An itchy tag is driving me crazy. Never a fan of tags.

-Some spillage over the tops, the fitter recommended I just smooth the tissue down into the cup to smooth it out. It helped but also made chest look smaller.

Shape:

I think bell shaped, pretty shallow, wide-set and most tissue on the outside and bottom of chest. Lots of armpit boob.

I think there's some definite breast tissue here but it's generally off to the side and I wish I could press everything in towards the center and up. I've breastfed three babies and they pretty well beat up and flattened all tissue lol. It's very soft now, no resistance 😂

EDIT: Photos of the fit to get opinions on fit before I commit to buying more in this size.

Thank you all so much for your help!
