My specific question is do the in ceiling speakers work well for surround? Ceiling is ~8ft. I’m looking at the amp and 6” Sonance set.

I have a basement setup. Using an arc ultra and a sub 4. I want surround too but my only option is in ceiling speakers using an amp. I already have wire ran from a previous install that is just laying in the ceiling unused right now.

The era 100 or 300 isn’t an option even if using floor stands so please don’t push for this recommendation as my wife and I agree we don’t want the speakers like this given the design and layout of the space.
