If you’ve gotten HI under control, how did you learn the steps needed? A provider? A genetic test? A book? I’m at the place where I just figured out that all this anxiety and panic and flushing and gut stuff that’s been getting worse and worse through perimenopause is related to histamine. The more I read about it the more I am sure. But besides taking antihistamines just to survive right now- I don’t know where to start at addressing it for reals. My PCP? Nope. No idea about this stuff. First I’m getting my primary to retest me for SIBO, which I’ve had in the past and just want to see where it’s at. Could be related/root cause. But the hormones are certainly another cause because it all started out very cyclic along with menses. So I know it’s a factor. It’s just progressing so much and it’s hard to put aside that adrenaline/panic body feeling and get to work making a plan. I really need help. A really good book that walks you through it all? Steps to take? Or a provider that’s reasonable and can do online consults? I really need help. This is taking over and super hard.
