I went to a club with my friends this last weekend and met a really cute girl. We hit it off really well and were super enamored with one another. We made out for a while and got a little handsy later, and before I left we exchanged numbers.
We started chatting since then and she has been discussing seeing me again and hanging out 1-on-1/hooking up. So i figured that she’s still interested and planning a date. I should tell her I’m poly now.
It could be a dealbreaker for her, im still waiting on a response. I’m hoping she’s not looking for anything too serious because she is was so ready for a spontaneous hookup with a stranger. But I guess I’m wondering if I messed up on disclosing to her after she is so interested in me?
Should I have told her at the club? Before we made out or hooked up? I thought that might ruin the vibe but maybe honesty is better? I hate to stomach the thought that she might think I deceived her.
I’ve had relations with other people but its mostly all been facilitated online and through apps. I’ve never done something this spontaneous before. On apps I can be open and put on my profile that I am poly, but in a situation like this its a little more difficult figuring out when to disclose. Did I mess up?
Edit: she texted me back, she’s cool with it and still wants to see me again and she thanked me for my communication and transparency :)
