Anyone with unusual or atypical symptoms?
I was just diagnosed. The reason my doc ordered hormone tests + ultrasound is because I’ve been experiencing severe periodic episodes of nausea and vomiting, and GI causes were ruled out. I often throw up during/shortly after ovulation and on cycle day 4. Thing is, I haven’t ever heard of PCOS/PMOS causing vomiting, so I don’t know if the PCOS/PMOS diagnosis is actually the cause of the vomiting, or just an incidental finding. Besides the vomiting, I’ve been experiencing really annoying/extreme increases in libido during what would theoretically be my ovulation phase, which from everything I’ve read is opposite of what most folks experience with PCOS (seems like it usually causes low libido instead?). It’s especially annoying and distressing because I’m often severely nauseous at the same time, and therefore unable to do anything about it. Anyone else experience anything even remotely like this?
I also suffer from low BMI (though this could be because of coexisting autoimmune diseases), and I don’t have visible facial hair (but I’m a redhead, so…). I’m not necessarily questioning the validity of the diagnosis. Just struggling to understand why I don’t seem to fit the typical symptom profile, and whether the diagnosis explains my worst symptoms or not.
Edit: sorry for posting this multiple times, something weird happened with the app and it kept saying it hadn’t posted.
