The joke: "normal lang yung init na yan nag kakape pa nga kami" is not funny.
Every time summer hits in Europe, every year there's always this joke that's not really funny anymore. A lot of Europeans have no AC, and the northern part which has a difficult time with the heatwave have houses that are built for the cold, not for the heat.
If the roles were reversed, we would complain that we are being bullied. People like us who live in a tropical climate, are not used to cold weather, we shudder from temps that are considered warm to them.
Heck even our temperature is becoming more insane every year, the normal temps in my area are now 37-38°C during April-May with heat index reaching 45-48°C. When I was a kid I would remember April temperatures only be at 33°C, and you can sleep at night without AC.
Climate change is no joke.
