My Intrusive thoughts

Earlier, during my final interview, we were talking about commuting from home to work. Na kwento nya that he doesn’t know how to ride a jeep or commute. Iwan ko ba feeling close kame that time tas bigla ko sinabi “Wow, it’s giving ‘tell me you’re rich without telling me you’re rich” Hahaha. After that maayos at smooth naman yun interview. An hour later, I received the result bagsak baka naoffend siya… RIP interview..

Why is it so hard to find a decent job?

Hello everyone. 25/F. Don’t get me wrong, I am currently employed naman sa hospital for almost 3 years but the pay and workload are just not it. More than a year na ako naghahanap ng malilipatan. I tried BPOs and even VA pero wala talaga. Rejection after rejection. Sometimes ghosted pa. If umabot man sa final interview, sobrang lowball ng offer. Call me petty and ungrateful pero I know hindi ko to deserve.

Do you have any tips or advice that can help me land a decent job? I want to get out of this situation so bad. Tyia.

Lowball ang Telco accounts

Bakit kaya palaging mababa ang offer sa telco accounts despite knowing it can be very demanding when it comes to workload, metrics and stress level.

Nag start ako sa AT&T Mobility way back 2014 16k package noon, fast forward to 2026 I applied as QA for another Telco account 25k lang offer which is makukuha na sya even for an entry level sa ibang account.

First time ko malipat sa voice account so yung level ng pagka drain ko mas lumala like araw-araw.

Alam ko na downside non is medyo off putting magiging dating sa iba pero based on my experience, not that bad naman. May mga tao pa rin ako na i consider as comfort people ko na pwede makipag kulitan pero in a non draining way. Sorry kung ang hirap i explain.

Hindi ko pa rin ma balance yung line between "need ko ng moment sa sarili ko, i'm mentally exhausted lagi so please leave me alone" vs "chikahin niyo ako konti for the sake of pakikisama"

JP MORGAN Entry-Level Specialist I Pooling (Collections, Fraud & Accounts)

Hello, I would like to ask for your thoughts about JPMorgan. I applied to JPMorgan Chase & Co. last year (2024) as a fresh graduate, and they once invited me to apply. Earlier today, I received another email from them. I’m considering the opportunity, but my concern is that I don’t have any BPO background. My work experience is in the Government Tourism Office, but the salary is below minimum wage, which is why I am planning to shift careers while waiting for opportunities abroad.

How’s the application process and any tips po?

passing WPM

normal typing ko (freestyle tag two fingers): 34-39 wpm 92-96% accuracy

Pero curious pa din ako, if mateterminate ba ako if malalaman nila? Kapag ba mass hiring yung company hindi sila ganun kastrict? Sana po may makasagot. Salamat.

Interview - Application

Hello.

6 yrs CC exp.

Dame ko nang na applyan recently. Accenture, Cognizant, AMEX, and HSBC - lahat yan expecting for initial or final interview since tapos na assessment. Been 3-5 days na ata walang update. sa HSBC more than 2 weeks na tapos sa Assessment.

No calls. No update. Nothing. Hirap umasa. Okay lang naman kung ano results pero sana may follow up or update.

AMEX, Optum UP, Cognizant, Accenture - worth it ba dito mag Walk In? ( since walang update eh) Nagaalangan kasi ako mag walk in lalo na malayo.

I got an update naman from JPMC. Scheduled for interview however, upon clicking yung schedule selection time slot eto nakalagay.

Savii

Please enlighten me po. Our company just had partnership with SAVii, as in early this week lang nagdisbursed ng email yung HR namin. Now, based sa email nila 'as much as 50k', so I supposed that was the ceiling loan to avail. Pero upon checking, I'm entitled for 200k+ salary loan tapos naguguluhan ako sa computation posted. Here's my questions po:

  1. Can I possibly avail the max loan to avail based on the app or just stick with the posted loan amount of HR?

  2. Bakit ganito computation? Does it include the interest rate or wala pa?

Update: I chose HSBC over Wells Fargo and so far no regrets

Ako po yung nag-post before asking whether HSBC or Wells Fargo ang pipiliin ko since I passed the final interview for both.

Thank you sa lahat ng nagbigay ng advice before. In the end, I chose HSBC mainly because mas malapit siya sa amin, hybrid setup, may shuttle, and hindi ko na need mag-rent. Medyo risky din siya for me kasi ang dami kongn what ifs haha given na marami akong nababasa rito na nauurong pa start date nila. Fortunately, after ko i-decline yung WF offer, on the same day naka-receive ako ng start date from HSBC onboarding team. Kinabahan talaga ako noon thinking, “What if mag failed vetting ko?” 😅

But a few days later, I officially received the offer and surprisingly, mas mataas pa yung naging offer nila compared to Wells. Nag start na rin agad on the stated start date.

Mag-one month na ako ngayon and so far, okay na okay yung environment, benefits, and work-life balance sa department ko++++ Ang ganda rin talaga ng facilities and work office compared sa previous companies na napasukan ko. AAAAAT SUPER GANDA NG HMO NILAAAAAA which is non negotiable for me.

Sharing this because I know may iba rin dito na torn between opportunities or takot mag-take ng risk. Minsan, malaking factor din talaga yung convenience, environment, and peace of mind aside from salary alone. JO DUST for everyone ✨
