What are phantom shifts like for you?

I've seen a lot of people talk about viably seeing things like paws and fur instead of hands and skin, etc. during phantom shifts, and i wondered if that is common? Or what other people's phantom shifts are like in general.

I really don't get strong ones, and they rarely start unless I am thinking about them or shifting in general. It kind of feels like a limb attachment thing- pressure wherever the part connects to my human body and rarely feeling the weight of it.

If anyone also knows of tips for triggering strong phantom shifts I would love them as I miss my body heavily and think a stronger phantom shift could help? + I just think it would be a neat experience yk.

could i be otherlinked to my hearttype? Has anyone else done this? + is it actually a kintype? (oh) deer please help T_T

Okay so I've been questioning some form of deer alterhumanity for a while now. I think i am otherhearted as i don't see myself when i look at deer, but it might also be another species since I've only really examined white tailed deer (they live around me so seeing them isn't uncommon).

My biggest question is whether anyone here is otherlinked with their hearttype (in this case i'd be a deer otherlinker with a deer hearttype), and what that's like, but I'd also love some confirmation on deer being kith, not kin for me because while I'm fairly solid in it, I have a lot of deer traits still.
- I have always run sort of horse or deer-like (pushing off with one foot, not alternating. idk if this is actually a horse or deer trait but i have always associated it with those types of hoofed animals, espc. horses)
- I am veryyy attracted to what I perceive as deer habitat (forests and fields) (though coyotes do also live anywhere and I don't know my specific subspecies so that could be a coyote trait I suppose, though I feel like i'm a more warm-climate coyote in that regard).
- I have had a partial antler phantom shift, sort of a feeling of weight on the right side of my head that I just know was from antlers. I know otherhearted folks can have shifts for/to their hearttypes though.
- I have started doing this like.. head shaking thing? as a stim. I kinda just attributed it to my being a dog since that's when it started, but now that I'm writing this it does sound like it could maybe be a deer thing? I also like to paw at the ground... maybe im looking for lichen or doing something deerlike in part as well. hmm.. (I think I'm probably just being a diggy dog though)

I'm aware that only I can really pick a label but I would like some advice on whether this is normal/common with a hearttype, or if I should look into other types of deer as a kintype??

I'm just starting to get annoyed at all this deer stuff lol.

Just wanted to say how happy this subreddit makes me and how awesome all these pictures are!!

As a Coyote nonhuman it’s really hard to find positive representation of my species, so I’m really glad this subreddit exists :D

(feel free to delete this if it’s too off-topic, I just wanted to say a quick thank you!)

Adding to the cute kintype baby pictures :3

  1. Coyote pup, 2) deer fawn, 3) dog puppy (but I tried to pick something with that canine poetry-like filter ‘cause I’m a conceptkin lol)

Anyone else have animalistic habits that don’t align with their theriotypes whatsoever?

I’ve always had cats as a kid and as a habit hissed at them whenever they were being annoying/bad. It’s something I still do out of habit, even at people, when I’m annoyed or angry. I just find that really funny as a canine therian lol. Anyone else experience something similar?
