I haven't added the ears and mane yet, but I don't think it really looks like a horse; the muzzle looks more like a beak or a dragon's snout. Also, I think the nostrils are a bit uneven and way too close together.

Hiiiiii sooo Question for the furry and therian community- Is wanting to be a hybrid (part human part animal) the same as being a furry? I'm kind of on a path to finding stuff out about myself sooo any input would be awesome!!
When I think of the otherkin/therian identity spirituality and the metaphysical come to mind first, and this really is of no coincidence. For a long while the community has playfully been deemed as the spirituality of the furries, now obviously there has been non-spiritual otherkin/therians long before this; however the majority were in fact spiritual.
Saying this I feel there has been a huge loss for me at least as of recent in terms of the community as I notice much less of the spiritual identity being discussed, it's been replaced with what reads more socially as gender expression than deep spiritual experience and this makes me very sad.
Just like Austin Texas has largely been gentrified, and their slogan was or is "keep Austin weird" I feel we need a 'keep otherkin and therian weird' or perhaps that would just doom it further to share that same destination of gentrification so to say.

Heya! My name is Rika, also known as Tilt Wolf. I'm a biochemist and cell biologist, having served in various research and executive/board leadership roles at the Freedom of Form Foundation (2020-2026), most recently as VP & CSO. I'm also a coywolf therian since about 2005.
Last spring, I left the FFF alongside the CTO (Lathreas), and we're now excited to be putting together a new biotech startup aligned with the goal of "anthros in real life". Our company's working title is Transformation Biosciences, Inc., or TF Bio for short, and our site will launch fairly soon. TF Bio is focused on wet-lab tissue engineering research, likely starting with a combination of hair follicles, skin, and ear cartilage. We have enough funding already to get off the ground, but as we bring in more folks to fund the research, we need to understand what the therian community sees as a "minimum viable transformation" – the minimum set of body changes that you would accept for your own personal goals.
We already know that the vast majority of therians, according to FurScience @ University of Waterloo, would choose to become "less than 100% human" if given the option (>79%). But what we don't know is the minimum change that you're willing to accept, for surgery to be worth it to you *right now*. To be clear, we will not stop until we reach the full anthro TF goal, but we'd like to know the earliest point at which our work begins to help people.
So the question is this: if the medical technology appeared tomorrow to make it possible, which of the following is the **minimum** that you'd accept and undergo a voluntary procedure for? (Assume that you can still do more changes later.)
This information helps steer which areas of research we focus on, and when.
Just for clarity, note that we're focusing on furry species for now, starting with wolves, because they are common and somewhat more anatomically feasible. Eventually, we will expand to other furry species. In the longer term, we may also branch out to scalies and avians, but the technical challenges there are quite a bit more intense\~

So, All i see on tik tok is just people wearing masks and doing quadrobics. I rarely see people expressing their identities in different ways, also because it’s often looked down upon. Masks and such don‘t really feel animalistic enough anymore for me and i need different ways to express myself. I saw multiple videos of alterhumans explaining how they express themselves in different, even ‚weired‘ ways which I find very interesting.

The false doctrine of the so called transhumanists helping otherkin/therian, couldn't be further from the actual truth. No amount of merging with technology or mutating nature is going to make any of you more non-human, our identity is for ourselves to define we don't need some techno-fascist preaching to us about how to become more otherkin or therian.
Couple this with the cruelty of testing on animals, and slavery to mega corporations that own the genetic mutation. And the prospects aren't bright for transhumanism.
If anything a return to nature is what's needed, and removing our limited thoughts about ourselves. If you're an otherkin/therian YOU ARE NON-HUMAN, there's no to 'become non-human' when it's what you are.

I’m like 92% sure I’m a mustelid!! I had a few dream shifts and did some meditations and it showed me that I’m a long slender predator with clawed paws that don’t retract and I have a long semi-fluffy tail! I did some research and found mustelids! At first I thought I was a stoat? The only thing that doesn’t line up is the vocalizations so my friends told me to look into minks, that felt way more natural and correct than a stoat but still the vocalizations. Mustelids seem to only screech, scream, chirp, hiss, and spit! No barking, howling or meowing type sounds. I don’t know if that means that I’m not a mustelid because I vocalize differently? I’m not sure I’m kinda flying by the seat of my pants so if anyone has any guidance on helping with theriotype searching please lmk!

I am a grey wolf and snow leopard alterhuman. I've been trying to figure out my nonhuman identity for around 2 years. I get sad at the thought of my sense of smell not being that good, however I find it nice that just by listening I can recognise other creatures/humans.
