Transavia broke my baby stroller during flight from Paris to Berlin – how to claim compensation?
Hi all,
My 1.8-year-old son and I flew from Paris to Berlin with Transavia Airlines two days ago. In Paris, the ground staff took our baby stroller right before boarding and told us we could collect it at the aircraft door in Berlin.
After landing, they directed us to the bulky baggage area. This is something that has happened on other flights, so I didn’t think much of it. When I picked up the stroller, I noticed that one brake was completely broken. The stroller is now unusable for safety reasons and needs to be repaired or replaced.
The flight arrived after 17:30, and by then the WISAG office at BER was already closed (they close at 16:00). A police officer nearby directed me to file a claim via this link: https://lf.wisag.aero/form/step/1
I filled out the entire form, but when I click “submit” on the final page, it shows the error “Something went wrong.” I’ve tried multiple times on different browsers and devices with no success.
I also contacted Transavia’s chatbot, but received no response.
What should I do next? Is there any realistic chance of getting compensation to repair or replace the stroller?
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
