My first ever tank! It will have some shrimp and fish, let me know if you have any recommendations!

My mystery snails have not been moving. Two of them are slightly open and react when touched, but one has his body out but doesn’t react at all. They dont smell bad.

My mystery snail are going to the top a lot of the time but not really holding onto the glass, some are also floating for a while. They are not sticking out their syphons for air so I dont know what the problem is. Im new to these snails so maybe its just what they do?

I got this new driftwood that has a bolt on the bottom. I wanting to know if it could possibly be bad for fish due to it being metal and i suppose might rust. I am completely unsure though.
