Hello, I’m looking for some advice on my sim racing setup.
I currently have a Moza R5 clamped to a cheap Target desk, and the desk wobbles quite a bit. The drawer also gets in the way, which prevents me from mounting the wheel securely.
I’m trying to decide whether I should buy a wheel stand that is sturdy enough to handle the R5 without much flex or wobble, or if I’d be better off replacing my desk with something more solid.
I don’t have enough space for a full cockpit rig, and I’d like to leave my wheel and pedals mounted so I don’t have to remove everything every time I want to use my desk for something else.
My budget is around $300 max. What wheel stands would you recommend, or do you think getting a sturdier desk would be the better option?
