So recently i got a quickrelease and a wheel for my car. Yesterday i decided it might be fun to attach my original wheel from my car to my logitech. (See image).
The wheel isnt that heavy and my logitech seems to easily hold it.
I attached multiple elastic bands to the shifters ( aftermarket shifters so i dont hurt the original ones)
And one elastic band through the little hole in the wheel where that airbag cables normally go to the bottpm of thr wheel (where the xbox button is).
Do you guys like it and is there a better way to do this without ruining the original wheel?
The aftermarket wheel together with the aliexpress quick release is exactly 1163 grams
The Moza wheel with its buttons+quick release is 1323 grams
I like this new wheel, it better for drifting than the akward D shape moza wheel.
I got a G923 and it will not clamp to my desk because of the ridge. It tilts forward and comes off. Is there a work around for this? Would the design of the Moza r5 fit this better?
Obviously based off of the '67 Lotus 49, I wanted to build a mobile rig with only a single power cord coming out of it. I designed and built an open chassis PC that's housed in the "engine" along with the audio and transducer amps. Each velocity stack houses an 80mm PWM fan to exhaust heat. There are two 120mm fans pulling air in from the bottom. PC built based on reasonably priced, and available, components; 9800X3D and 7900XTX.
Other mentions that I can think of:
• all body and engine components were self designed and created in house via CNC and/or 3D printing
• custom ply and PVC sheet frame and body with 40120 skeleton
• Wrapped in metallic, British racing green with period correct logos
• 57" Samsung on a (highly recommended) Montek swivel mount - this rig will travel some and the single monitor made more sense than triples
• Simagic Alpha, P1000 pedals (with custom plates and haptics), modded DX8 shifter (machined elongated SEQ/H lever and "period-ish correct" walnut and aluminum shift knob)
• power seat and pedals
• Ultrashield race seat with cover
• custom dash with 14 bind-able buttons/switches and 4" round LED screen
• integrated touch/mouse pad in upholstered arm
• 2-100w transducers mounted to bottom and back of seat - dedicated Aiyima amp
• 8-speakers, including the rear view mirrors - dedicated Aiyima amp
• 6 position terminal block powered by a 360W converter
• 28" tire step
This was fun...sometimes. There are 1000 things I'll do different on the next one. I get to build a '62 Porsche 804 for his best friend.
Thanks for looking.
Hope it makes me faster lol.
Hi, I’d like to share and hopefully inspire others with my DIY modification of the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 into a full-fledged sim rig.
The construction is made from 50x100 mm KVH timber beams mounted on lockable caster wheels. It is attached to the stand using two M8 bolts on each side, threaded directly into the factory-made mounting points already present on the stand. The wooden frame itself is assembled using long wood screws and angle brackets, and reinforced on top with an 18 mm board (OSB, or in my case, some leftover kitchen shelving 😁).
For the seat, I chose one from a VAG-group passenger car, which offers the advantages of low cost, comfort, and height adjustment. Thanks to that, people of different body sizes and preferences can easily swap in and out of the rig, and last but not least, it’s a seat I’m already used to.
The whole setup is surprisingly sturdy — it doesn’t move even by a millimeter — and in my opinion, it’s an ideal alternative for people considering an upgrade to a full sim rig but who don’t want to go down the route of the official NLR add-on or expensive aluminum profiles.
I'm not familiar with racing OR simulation whatsoever, so trying to sell and price something like this out is difficult. I was wondering if anybody could give some context about it, like model or who/what it's styled after, pricing, etc? I also just love learning about things that others are passionate about and the simracing community is perhaps one of the most passionate. The only think I understand about it is that it's from the mid 2010s. Any help is much appreciated!
Looking to get back into racing now that my flightsim setup is pretty much complete. Lots of options nowdays, used to have an CSL Elite back in 2016-2017.
I have a budget of about 1500-2000€. After a pretty extensive research, I have ended up with Simagic Alpha Evo, P1000 and Conspit GT300 which should total to around 1600€
Now my question for the more experienced people, is this a good base to build on, new stuff coming out, better pedals or anything I could optimize. I’m going to mainly drive GT3s, maybe rally, no F1. I have all the peripherals ready to go so all my budget is allocated to wheel/base/pedals/ddu’s
Already have a seat and most likely will build a rig from profile myself since I have experience and can print lots of stuff.
I know that I’ve spent too much time looking at rigs when I walked into the warehouse and immediately saw the aluminum profile from across the shop 😂
So first off yes, as the title states this is a bronze lobby, it wasn't a horrible lobby, a lot of the people had the trusted driver badge so i wasn't expecting anything crazy.
I had a meh qualifying, so I started off 6th in this race, but then I noticed that most of the guys in front of me started from the pits so I was ready at the launch, and I thought I was doing a pretty good move on the guy in front until the Mclaren hits me from behind, lucky I held onto the car for the lead. On lap 2 I messed up on a turn ngl so I slowed down which is why you see him pass me, I was going to try to overtake again on that straight but then I noticed his car bouncing around a little, and the very next corner he just loses control lol.
I didn't think it would've been as bad as it was, I though p3 would just follow me and keep the race going, but you can clearly see that wasn't the case and I just kept seeing my lead grow bigger and bigger. From there, all I was focusing on was clean racing and attempting to do the best laps I could. This was my first time racing at the regular Monza since the last time it was on the schedule it was the curva grande variant.
On the very last turn, oh my days, p11 almost gave me a heart attack. Mind you he's last place, he's coming back onto the track after he messed up turn 1, I'm also FLASHING HIM, and yet he decides the best course of action isn't to give space to let P1 pass on the very last lap, but instead cut all the way across onto my line lol
In the end, I got another win, and yeah I'm not a good driver yet by any means, but just wanted to share my funny experience on the track today
Hover any wheel in the parts selector → see a preview instantly. No more clicking through 50 options to find one that fits the build.
682 stock wheels are pre-rendered out of the box. For modded wheels, one console command generates previews for everything you have installed.
Mod: https://www.beamng.com/resources/wheel-preview.37729/
It's experimental, so bug reports welcome. And - drop your favorite wheel packs in the comments and I'll add native preview support for them in the next update.
I’m new to sim racing and I’m stuck between going with Moza or Simagic. I want to get a good set of pedals as well. Right now I’m considering the Simsonn Pro X, but I’m wondering if the Simagic P700s are already good enough for a beginner/intermediate setup.
This is basically a one-time investment for me — I want something that’ll last a long time and I don’t want to keep upgrading or changing gear later on.
Are there any other pedal options I should consider around this price range for a solid long-term setup? What would you guys recommend?
Hi all, so, as the title says, I've been struggling to understand if I can or cannot show any real-life brands on my car (In streamed/broadcasted league races).
I really like to create my own custom liveries for my team and fill them with strategically placed sponsors but I know this is kind of a grey zone, legally speaking.
I get it that I cannot use real-life brands without permission for copyright reasons (even though it's technically free advertisement???), but what if the game has them already licensed?
For example ACC has tons of real-life sponsors on its default liveries, and lots of streamers/youtubers show them in monetized videos/streams.
So can I put those sponsors on my custom liveries?
Also, I recently signed up for an ACC league race that allowed custom liveries.
But when I uploaded mine, it got rejected because it didn't have all the "default sponsors", the ones you can cycle through in the built-in livery editor.
They said that Kunos and SRO requires them for legal reasons but I couldn't find anything about this.
If you know this stuff, can you please help me? Thank you so much!!!
I think I should move the front monitor closer, dont like the gap there on the dashboard. Only way is to cut the roll bars, or should I make a dashboard to fit in That gap ? And make 2 dashboards, so it can be easy to pop off and on, for different cars, cuz I drive 911 porsche , and would want dashboard for nascar.. 1 cost lil more money but get to keep the original look if the car roll cage, other no money but now have to do more cutting taking away more of the original look. 🤔 , wondering what would u guys do??
