I started to go down the path of building an SEO optimised website for my small production company a couple of years ago, but just found it too much work to get it to a point where it was doing anything.

To those who have done extensive SEO and gotten to the top of the rankings in your area, has it been successful for you?

Do you find you're getting a lot of bad leads that take up all your time, or are you getting good leads and good work from it?

Comment with your type of work/company/style as well, I'm interested in who SEO is working for.

I tried Google ads for a period and found all of the leads were low quality, I don't think we ended up with one single job, and it was a lot of work replying and quoting!
