Harman Pheonix 200 | zuiko Auto-S 50mm f/1.8
Picked up this camera for $20 cad cause it had a stuck shutter. Fixed the idler spring issue and now it seems to be working well. Still not sure I like Pheonix 200 that much but the local film shop had it for cheap since it expired a few months ago
Got this ae-1 and it worked perfectly for about 5 minutes until the advance lever got stuck. fixed the issue where small bits from the top cover end up in the gears then started to test fire the camera. Now the advance lever works but the mirror stays up and the shutter stays open. It will only close if I press the battery check button, bang the camera on the table, or force open the magnet shown in the picture. I've tried cleaning off the surface of the magnet with lens tissue and IPA but that doesn't seem to have helped. It will fire normally if I trip the release magnet on the other side but it appears to only fire at 1/1000 no matter what the dial is set too
Is this an issue with that magnet or is there potentially a jam somewhere? Could this also be caused by the tungsten wire or the Asa/shutter speed dial?
