Using an iPhone 17 Pro without iCloud / Apple ID. How to transfer photos to Android?

My friend is bringing me an iPhone 17 Pro from Japan and wishes to use it for photos during the trip before giving it to me.

What's the easiest way to transfer the photos/videos from the iPhone to his Android phone? Can it be done directly with a USB-C cable?

He won't be logging into iCloud or anything and will factory reset the phone before handing it over.
