New Iphone 17, Feeling Dissapointed

Got iphone 17 256gb variant on flipkart sale 9 days ago, facing heating issues and 5-6 hours battery backup.

I came from nothing phone 2a therefore i might feel less battery but keeping that aside phone heats just after 10 minutes of instagram reels.

Is this due to summer and is normal or what?
Pls suggest something 😭

Ex-S21 FE user…

Being a Samsung S21 fe user, I was really looking forward to S25 or S26 as my next new phone, but this years iPhone 17 just got so many things right.

I always wanted to get an iPhone but I was never satisfied with the cuts we get at the price compared to android phones of same price range. This iPhone feels like an exception.

So, yeah how is this mist blue looking? Got it @ ₹68k from FLIPKART SASA LELE sale with broken poco m2 exchange offer.

Got this case for my 14 Pro at just ₹29!

₹29 was including delivery as well!

It's the Amazon basics case, currently going for ₹74, but you can use the Amazon diamonds to get a further discount, till ₹30. I got this as a secondary case for backup, and it's not as bad as I expected for ₹29!

Display problem

I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro that I bought around 1.5 years ago for about ₹80,000. A few days ago, the display broke.

Now I have a few options:

  1. Apple Authorized Service Center: original display replacement costs around ₹36,000

  2. Local shops: “original” display costs around ₹20,000–25,000, but I’m not sure if it’s 100% genuine

  3. Duplicate display: costs around ₹5,000–10,000, and they also remove the display warning/error from the iPhone

If I sell the phone with the broken display, I’ll get a maximum of around ₹25,000.

Now I’m confused about what I should do:

  1. Replace the display or buy a new phone?

  2. If I replace the display, should I go with the original display or a duplicate one?

Note- consider myself as iphone wala garib so please don’t suggest to buy new iphone 17 pro model or something like this 😭🙏

Second-hand iPhone 17 Pro Max shows AppleCare+ until 2033 — what should I tell my uncle?

Hey Reddit, my uncle (not very tech-savvy) went out and bought a second-hand iPhone 17 Pro Max while I wasn’t home. I just checked the AppleCare+ coverage online, and it shows it expires on 2 October 2033. The model number is MFYA4J/A, which seems to be the Indian variant.

All I know is that AppleCare+ is not sold as a 7-year plan Apple limits coverage to 2 years.

What should I tell him to check with the shop he bought it from? Should he carry the bill and box when asking? What questions should he ask to confirm the coverage is real before relying on it?

Any advice would be really helpful.

For all those regretting buying iphone base or pro for 80k or 1.3 lacs

Remember, you won't be at same age again and have the same passion, at one time you can afford 10 iphones, but would u have the same life are you having now? making memories

when I was in college back in 2017-20, I purchased my first android samsung s8 and I don't regret even a bit, I made so many memories with it, pubg, playing with frinds, clicking photos, I still look at those photos and smile, how different life was, now I can purchase anything I want, but my life is different, I could have invested in stocks, or gold/silver and gave me 5 times return, but you will always have opportunities doesn't mean you will sacrifice or others enjoyment, life is limited, with each passing time, the clock is clicking.

stay happy for whatever price you bought.
