What is going on here (Leviton box)
Yall. I just moved into a new place. I have been running around this house looking for a coax port and couldn’t find any. However there’s an Ethernet outlet in every room. After some googling, I’m told these Ethernet cables usually funnel to a main hub. I search everywhere for this hub. I finally find a suspicious looking panel at the very top of the pantry. It’s bolted into the wall as if to prevent access. I got a chair and climbed up there. Sitting on the top shelf were installation instructions for a Leviton structured media box. Okay. I unscrew the panel and sure enough there’s the hub. Well Google tells me there still needs to be a coax port if I want to connect my internet router and modem. I see a black cord in the box. Google tells me it’s a coax cable BUT THERES NO PORT ON IT.
How do I connect my internet? wtf is going on here? Is this super shoddy construction/electrical work or am I missing something here?? We already had our shower explode because the builders forgot to put some kind of pin in the handle of the shower, so I’m worried I’m just going to keep finding unfinished construction treasures throughout this POS house.
