Cal Hypo Tabs Inline Chlorinator
What's up guys? A bunch of my customers are near the top of where I like their CYA to be. I've been using calhypo tabs to not raise CYA any higher. The issue I'm having is that I am using tab floaters and it's not working out as well as I would like it to.
I know trichlor tabs and calhypo tabs should not go in the same container/floater/inline chlorinator.
But is there any reason why I can't use calhypo tabs in an inline chlorinator if there is no trichlor in the inline chlorinator?
I use white CCH tabs, not the purple PoolLife NST tabs which gum everything up. So that will not be the issue.
I can't find much literature on the subject but I'm sure someone more skilled in chemistry on this sub has an answer. Thanks.

Panel safe to use?
Hey guys, I'm wondering if it's safe to use this panel.
This is at a community pool for an apartment complex, I maintain the pool.
There was a breaker hooked up to the circled area that ran the pool pump. It's been the same breaker and pump for multiple years with no issues.
When I started the pool this year the pump ran for a couple days then I had to no power. Pulled the panel and moved breaker to the next position (bus bar) and the pump came right on. Although it did put off a spark when turning on.
I told them to get a certified electrician to look at the problem, they had their handyman "come tighten some wires" and now it's all good. (Still no power coming off bus bar so not good)
There are 2 empty bus bar slots I could move the breaker to but I still don't feel right doing that.
Is this panel safe to use with a dead bus bar and a spark on the live one?

After adding 15lbs cal hypo yesterday it was only at 2ppm 18 hrs later
Today:
Backwashed
Added 10 more lbs cal hypo
1 bottle flocc
We are getting there

Located in TN
This one hasn't been open since 2024.
Cover upside down, no lines winterized, pump left full of water, drain cap still on sand filter.
Pump actually works and pool is running.
Time will tell if any lines busted underground.
