Worried about sensitivity after deep root canal.
Hello everyone.
I had my first deep root canal appointment a few weeks ago, and recently had the second appointment, where it was cleaned, completed and the filling placed, but not crowned. The dentist had said come back in a few months if there is no issues for the crown.
With it being nearly a week since then, I feel sensitivity when brushing the bottom of the tooth, not the front, and when biting foods. Is this normal, or will this reside eventually? Google tells different things, some saying 2-4 days for it to settle completely, and some saying 1-2 weeks.
The dentist said that the tooth had a long canal. Could this be the reason for the sensitivity lasting long?
