RTZ’s vs. T24’s (Wedges)
Traded my Cleveland RTZ for Mizuno T24 wedges, already starting to second guess the decision..
First day practicing with them was yesterday… let’s just hope it only goes up from here.
Three reasons for this change:
- The DG S120 shafts on the RTZ were way too light, so my wedge gapping was clustered
- Just got some Mizuno irons, liked idea of going 4i-58°
- Great price, my exact specs, always wanted raw finish wedges
But after using the Z-Alloy for the last 6mo, the Mizunos felt like iron rods. The soft buttery feel vs the dense “click” added to my lost sense for the center of the face. Must’ve taken 150 practice chips, 125 of them came out low launching or rocketed.
Too early to panic?
