Fake £2 coin ?

I just tried to spend this £2 coin in my local newsagent. The shop keeper told me it was a fake.

I asked how he could tell, and he said because the silver part was so shiny and that it should be dull.

I’ve not heard of fake £2 coins before. Is it a thing?

Eminem inspired by Johnny Cash?

One of Johnny Cash’s biggest songs was a live recording of A Boy Named Sue

It is a funny narrative song with dark humour. When I listen to it, I can’t help think that Eminem was heavily inspired by it. In particular the song Brain Damage, and also As The World Turns, both on the SSLP.

There is a line in ABNS where the protagonist confronts his father and says “now you gonna die!”
It’s similar to in Brain Damage how the bully says “you gonna die, honky”.

During the fight scene in ABNS, there is a part where the father comes up with a knife and slices off a piece of his opponent’s ear.
In ATWT, there is a similar fight scene where Eminem pulls out his pocket knife and slices off her right nipple.

I definitely feel that Eminem was listening to A Boy Named Sue, when he wrote both Brain Damage & As The World Turns. All three songs have a similar vibe and feel about them.

A Boy Named Sue was released in 1969. It reached number 2 on the Billboard chart.
Eminem was born in 1971, so it still would have been a big song throughout his childhood and he definitely would have heard it growing up.
