Best choice for daily 40 mile round trip?

In order of appearance:

  1. 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE / 130K / 40 combined mpg / 2 owners & taxi history
  2. 2016 Mazda 3 i Grand Touring / 100K / 33 combined mpg / 4 owners
  3. 2018 Mazda 6 Touring / 130K / 29 combined mpg / 4 owners & corporate fleet history
  4. 2020 Chevy Bolt EV LT / 150K / 118 combined MPGe / 2 owners

Each car is around $10k. I'm looking for something reliable with minimal upkeep outside of the usual maintenance. I'm also particular about it being a fast, zippy ride that handle regular speeds of 70mph with minimal struggle accelerating. With those requirements in mind, in what order would you rank each vehicle I listed?

Looking for a reliable budget sedan with great fuel economy and reliable engine that can go really fast really easily

Hey all! I'm looking to trade in my SUV for a sedan that aligns with my current lifestyle.

A few things

  • I'd like a reliable engine and an unbeatable transmission.
  • I like to drive my car really hard and usually go 70+ mph on big city freeways. I also want a car that can accelerate smoothly without noticeable struggle to reach those speeds.
  • My commute can be up to 40 miles round trip everyday, M-F, so I need something with great fuel economy.
  • My very-nice-to-haves are backup camera, blind spot sensors, an amazing A/C system, and android auto.

I'm willing to sacrifice speed, but I absolutely need something with above average fuel economy and a deeply reliable engine and transmission.

I've test driven Toyotas and Hondas, and in addition to usually being above my budget, they have basically next to no features, so I don't want recommendations for those. I've been looking into Mazdas and EVs/Hybrids as well with varying levels of success.

The max trade-in value for my current vehicle is 9K and I'd like to avoid paying more than 12K total with taxes and fees, since that's what I initially paid. My wiggle room is very limited, maybe an extra $1K. I'm also not afraid to haggle down a price if it comes down to it. Any help is appreciated!
