Hyatt London near UCL

My nephew is going to program at University College London this summer, and am hoping to use points for a hotel in July. We are also planning a day trip to Oxford so relative ease of getting to a train station would be helpful.

The Standard is the closest with availability but the rooms available for points seem very small (13-16 sq m). We're coming from Asia so need a little more room for luggage.

The Churchill is further away, but the rooms seem more decent in size for the same amount of points.

L'Oscar looks lovely and is closer but the rooms are more than double the number of points of the Churchill.

So my questions:

  • Is the Churchill going to be complicated to get to UCL? Google maps seems to indicate a 17 minute walk to the tube station (which seems odd) I know we can always take a taxi/uber but would like to have options.
  • How IS the Churchill? Some reviews seem to say it's quite dated.

Thanks!
