Trying to better understand difference between flexible white ink for XTool Omni UV/DTF printer
Hey there, been going down the rabbit hole of XTool Omni O1 model types and wanted to better understand limitations of not having flexible white ink if you go with the UV/DTF combo.
My understanding is that the flexible white ink is good for canvas + vinyl + leather but I am confused if it is still possible to print these flexible materials with the base UV and UV/DTF combo albeit with risk of cracking. I have read that it would be more prone to cracking due to not using flexible white based but can I DTF straight to a canvas tote bag or would it still crack?
Should I be concerned that the direct DTF prints on a t-shirt would crack with that same logic? Are they not also considered a flexible material? Like what is the difference in flex between a t-shirt and a tote bag? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I haven't had a chance to do a deep dive into how exactly the UV and DTF tech works and wanted to get some feedback from the community who are experts in this area of DTF/UV.
I would like the feasibility to do small runs of custom UV or DTF which is why the UV/DTF config is appealing but was wondering if I'm still able to do tote bags or some vinyl that will stay relatively unstretched.
Thanks =)
