I really like most of the changes I have seen from the recent dev announcements. but one thing I was wondering from the Silk and Silver dev diary is whether or not the economy changes will turn this game into a medieval economy simulator, similar to EU5 and Vic3 even for feudal rulers. While I appreciate those are both pretty good games from an objective standpoint, I personally am not a fan of the supply and demand economy simulation of those games. I personally prefer the character roleplay aspect of CK3, and I know a lot of other people feel the same way as me. For context, CK3 has 2.5 times as many players as EU5 and Vic3 combined.
I feel like if this game becomes an economy simulator, it might put me, and some other people off the game a little bit. I personally don't want to manage goods or supply and demand if I am just trying to roleplay as a tyranical king or a scheming count or whatever.
It isn't clear as of right now if managing the economy is mandatory for playing as a feudal ruler, but the devs did say that there will inevitabaly be bad effects if you don't engage in the economy. Hopefully though it is still feasible to play as a feudal ruler without worrying about the economy.
