Help needed: Can’t remove display cover on Beovision Avant 28 DVD - how is it attached?
Hi everyone,
I need some help with my Beovision Avant 28 DVD (Type 833x). The protective cover over the LED display bar (on top of the TV) is scratched and damaged, and I need to replace it.
What I know:
• The replacement part number is 3162804 (“Cover f/display”)
• I already have the replacement part ordered/ready
• The display bar sits on top of the TV with the control buttons behind it
My problem:
I can’t figure out how to remove the old display cover. I’ve tried:
• Gently prying from the edges with a plastic spudger
• Looking for screws (can’t find any obvious ones)
• Pulling gently - but I don’t want to force it and break something
My questions:
1. How is this cover actually attached? Clips? Glue? Hidden screws?
2. Where should I start prying/lifting from?
3. Are there any hidden clips or release mechanisms I’m missing?
4. Any tips to avoid damaging the LED display underneath?
I’ve searched for disassembly videos but can’t find anything specific about removing just the display cover (plenty about the whole display assembly, but not the protective cover itself).
