This is probably the least of the issues with Rio's character, but why does he say "Mum"?
He was born and brought up in the US, they say "Mom" there, Mum is British.

Having heard Office ladies podcast, I understand why some (most in Superstore) side characters are non-speaking roles. Always wondered why Bret, Elias, Sarah are non-speaking despite being recurring characters across multiple episodes. And then on a rewatch in the Bel-Ridge steps competition episode, saw Elias randomly say a line (also Bret when he looks at the Tornado) - I wonder what adjustments were needed to the contract for these easter eggs.
They should put one key character in coma, then all actors can appear as Savita does to Tulsi - in this character's dreams. Entire story takes place there.
No jarring green screen. Everyone in a golden translucent frame, speaking to each other in the coma character's mind.
It'll be less expensive to shoot, process and audience is anyway watching 💩 so we can lap this up too.
