Surgery date is booked!!! July 7th

Anyone else scheduled for that week? I did a quick search and didn't see any threads for that date yet from this year.

So psyched! I'm already starting my list of things to get ready ahead of time lol.

I'm a little bummed I'll lose so much of the summer to recovery but trying to keep in mind that future summers will be so much better after this.

I wish I knew for sure what size I'll end up being. I sew and knit and I've been kind of on hold with most projects for MONTHS because I don't want to make things for my current body and not have them fit right after. But now that it feels real, all I want to do is make stuff for after 😭

Now I'm trying to delicately word an email to my boss to tell him I'm taking that time off... I know I don't owe him any specifics but if I just say I'm going to be out he'll ask what fun place I'm going to because I've always previously used my PTO for travel!

(Details that I wanted included on every post when I was waiting for my approval below, feel free to ask anything else too!

- Anthem BCBS insurance

- My size: 32G. Insurance requires at least 575g per side at my height and weight (5'7" 175lbs), my surgeon says that'll be no problem especially since I want to go as small as possible

- First started pursuing this in May of '25, did 3 months of PT before setting up a consultation, consult was in January and they put me on their list for surgery, they finally submitted everything to insurance late last week and the approval came through that same day.)
