I have a question for you multicultural constant readers…

How does Oys name translate into other languages?

I just saw another very talented redditors drawings of the characters, and saw that Oy was named “Oy/Acho” which I have guessed (but not googled because I prefer discussion!) is short for muchacho, rather than boy.

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks fellow gunslingers, long days and pleasant nights.

Friends, constant readers, I am not okay…

I just finished the Dark Tower series for the first time and I am not okay.

Firstly - I did not see that ending coming. I literally put down the book, put my head in my hands and remained that way for several minutes. I know our man is known for “being bad at endings” (something I’ve never agreed with, by the by), but holy hell. I thought that was painfully perfect.

Secondly- I was sadly spoilered that Oy would die shortly before I met him. I’m not sure if that made it better or worse. I was sure he was done for when he fought the tick tock man. I silently pleaded with him to follow Susannah through the door. He was a true hero to the last, and I hold no shame in telling you, oh constant readers of far and wide, that after he died and before he was buried l put down my book, scooped up my cat, and wept into his fur.

Jake and Eddie too? How dare Sai King hurt me so. Eddies death I did not predict, and more fool me perhaps for it was sign posted. Somehow I thought he might outlive Roland! King is forgiven, because the Central Park reunion went some way to healing my aching heart.

You (and the constant readers in my life) have been telling me to read this for years, but I’m glad I waited till now, when I have and Eddie and an Oy of my own, to make the losses feel so much deeper.
I’ve been a constant reader since before I can remember, truly, and have read many an author and style of fiction, but hand on heart (or fist on forehead), by my watch and warrant, this may be the best piece of fiction I’ve been lucky enough to stumble across.

I just needed to share this with someone, and who better than you?

Edit - some errors

Graduation dress help?

Hi lovely people of Reddit. I am graduating next week and am struggling with picking a dress. I have narrowed it down to two, but my friends have split the vote evenly! Can you help?
