So much of public accounting would be fixed if partners/managers just truthfully discuss timelines and deadlines with clients.

A lot of the audit clients I work on have soft deadlines, basically if it’s a month late there’s no real consequence, yet the higher ups at the firm loves to push these deadlines like they are hard deadlines that absolutely must be met.

The majority of the time when I explain the feasibility of meeting such deadlines 99% of the time they are completely understanding and reasonable, especially if such delays are due to client side issues. Yet it’s always push, push, push from partners.

Idk, just a small little rant.

Considering a lot of donghua do not a quality official sub releases, there are still a few fan sub groups doing excellent work. It just has me thinking how it feels like anime fan subbing is practically dead, ironically enough due to the increase in anime popularity resulting in official translations.

Watching these fan subs you would have added contextual notes, stylized text, and other nice additions, however, in official anime sub translations I feel lucky if onscreen text is even translated. I remember a few months ago I decided to re watch Saiki K on Netflix. I didn't even make it through the first episode before deciding to torrent the series because none of the onscreen text was translated on NF (there is a lot of text shown in the series that is important for the gags and jokes).

Its just sad that despite the rise in anime popularity and availability we just get a lower quality product.
