~2026 NHL Marble Cup~ 2nd Place Race

Well, this is it! The regular season comes to a close! And playoffs will begin tomorrow! Who will come out on top with the Presidents Trophy?

Here’s how the playoff picture is looking

In the East:

Boston (4 or 5 Marbles) vs. Columbus (19 Marbles)

Montreal (12 Marbles) vs. Ottawa (17 Marbles)

Washington (10 Marbles) vs. Pittsburgh (18 Marbles)

NYR (13 Marbles) vs, New Jersey (16 Marbles)

In the West:

Colorado (4 or 5 Marbles) vs. Vancouver (15 Marbles)

Utah (6 Marbles vs. Minnesota (8 Marbles)

Anaheim (7 Marbles) vs. Seattle (14 Marbles)

Vegas (9 Marbles) vs San Jose (11 Marbles)

In each playoff series, the first team to get 4 of their marbles across the finish line, will be eliminated.

Favoured teams advancing to the 2nd round will shed 2 marbles from their total…until reaching the minimum 4 marble requirement. Underdog teams who win their matchups will receive slight touch of momentum, shedding 3.

We’ll see how that goes haha Thanks so much for tuning in for another year. First playoff series tomorrow!

~2026 NHL Marble Cup~ 13th Place Race

Apologies for any confusion regarding the playoff format and the asterisks in the standings. I’m more or less making this up as I go haha. Appreciate everyone jumping in and help answer peoples questions.

Asterisks stand for the wildcard teams in each conference.

As of now for playoffs - Columbus has 19 marbles. Pittsburgh has 18. Ottawa has 17 marbles. And new Jersey has 16 marbles. The more marbles, the WORSE your chances are in playoffs. Best of 7 series, first team to get 4 marbles across the finish line is eliminated!

~2026 NHL Marble Cup~ 32nd Place Race

Hey everyone! I can't believe it's been a year already, but we are back! About a month ago, I started thinking about what format to go with this year. Not that season 2 was bad, but I missed some of the chaos that the elimination races provided in season one. I had to bring them back haha. I hope you all enjoy Season 3 of the Marble Cup

The Rules

  • Every NHL team is represented by a marble.
  • Each day features a brand-new race.
  • The FIRST marble to cross the finish line is eliminated
  • Everyone else survives to race another day.

Standings & Playoffs

Every elimination determines the standings.

The first team eliminated finishes 32nd, the next finishes 31st, and so on until only one team remains. The final survivor wins the regular season.

But getting eliminated doesn’t necessarily mean your season is over.

The top 16 teams in the final regular-season standings qualify for the Marble Cup Playoffs, meaning some teams will be eliminated from the daily races and still sneak into the postseason as Wild Cards.

Playoff Advantage

Regular season placement matters.

The higher you finish, the bigger your advantage once the playoffs begin. Higher seeds will receive weighted advantages in each playoff matchup, rewarding teams that survived the longest while still leaving room for upsets.

No team is ever trying to finish first in a race…

They’re trying to be the last team left standing.

Let's get goin!!!
